@@bill11ringsrussell66 you say Jordan played in the expansion era the Heat,Magic,Hornets in the East were expansion team's yet were good and the Magic even got to the Finals. The other expansion team's were the Grizzles,Raptors,Timberwolves only the Raptors were in the East that sucked. The East was strong due to the Dynasties that ran the 80s (76ers,Celtics,Pistons). Also not too long ago a team in the East made the playoffs with 36 wins I'll Google the team. Jordan dominance in the greatest era of basketball to date. You joke about Jordan hitting game winner's over Elho but praise LeBron who got locked down by an Unathletic 6'1 JJ Barea 😂😂 ooooh the irony.
Na it was to let Lebron shoot! If you watched these highlights you'd see he didn't hit his 1st basket from the field till the 3rd qtr. And in most cases you can still guard him like that in yr. 17! He wont beat you shooting a jumper but goin to the hole and also getting and 1's is where he kills you! Take that away and he's cooked!
@@1ewalk Come on man, you can't still guard him like that in year 17... The Spurs tried this again in 2013 and were quite succesful up until game 5. Since then he's had great fg% games in most playoff games he has played since that time, just look at the all jump shots he made in 2018 playoff run.
A Young Dynamic Lebron against Tim Duncan,Tony Parker and Manu ginobili all in there Primes and Gregg Popovivh on top of that there was no way the cavaliers were gonna win that series
And yall like to clown MJ for never winning against Prime Larry Bird and the 60 win Celtics lol. LeBron lost 4 straight against the Celtics of his era.
I love all the analysts in the comment section with “MJ could have never made the finals with this team” or “look how bad lebrons stat line is, MJ would have done better” no one knows and no one will ever know. There’s not even a reason to have a goat argument because different eras, different play styles, different body types, and different positions. Appreciate what MJ did, and appreciate what lebron is doing
Yea Cavs in 07 was a top 5 team in defense. Funny no bron fans wants to mention that. Funny nobody mentions Daniel Gibson going off for 30 against the Pistons in game 6. The cavs wasn't trash so don't make them out to be one.
@@ultrawweman7265 u don't mention that they play against the spurs the number 1 defense. Cavs was number 19 and spurs 14 on offense Tim Duncan, manu, Parker, pop vs LeBron
@@Thanosdidtherighthing MJ would have pooped his pants this is why I say king james is goat he only played dynasties teams that knew how to when championship dna 💯
They collapsed on him every time he touched the ball... multiple defenders! The narrative in Miami was he had no post-up game, funny how history shows the truth. Miami's play calling did not want him posting up!
Pop put a lot of respect on LeBron game at that age he studied the way LeBron destroyed each team in the east and went for the kill didn't let that 21 year old fool him no one prolly knew LeBron would be top 2 or 3 player ever but pop wasn't gonna let LeBron legacy start with him lol I swear if LeBron won at that age and had the same career he's had now he would no doubt be the goat
Shaquille Joseph He honestly should’ve won, or came close it. Each game was close and he was playing like trash so imagine if he played good, series would’ve gone to 6, maybe 7.
@Stanislas Houston lmao so according to your logic giannis is a better 2 point shooter than dirk since he has a higher field goal from 2. your'e an idiot. shaq would be a better 2 point shooter than jordan according to your logic as well. you fool's never take anything into context.
It is impressive but then again look at who he was playing to get to the Finals. Y’all like to clown Michael Jordan’s finals competition as “weak” but the 2007 East opponents are G-Leaguers compared to them. A 41 win mediocre Wizards team missing Arenas and Butler A 41 win mediocre Nets team with past prime Kidd and Carter A 53 win old declining Pistons team missing Big Ben and coach Larry Brown
if you watched the east in 2007 the cavs actually low key were stacked...the pistons lost ben wallace the bulls were young the heat were old the nets were old the magic were too young the wizards had injuries and the raptors were flawed....the east sucked...the cavs had lebron big z and drew gooden varejao donyell marshall up front which as a 5 some was solid and with larry hughes sasha pavlovic and damon jones in the backcourt they were scary... and daniel gibson came alive from 3 a few times as well to round them out a bit..a tiny bit of eric snow veteran savy as a former member of two finals teams and bam thats a finals team.....this team could defend rebound and played hard
This is my first time really researching this series. I always thought they got blown out all 4 games. LeBron actually gave the Spurs 4 fairly tough games. It was a sweep but not an easy one.
Boy you got this man John’s in your hands😂😂😂😂 Mr James scored 14pts in the first game and mid 20s the next three barely made over 5 assists but 14 pts is embarrassing 😂😂😂😂
What a time to be alive. LeBron was a freak of nature man. The Spurs went on to do what they did coming from championships earlier. This dude was so young playing a tough team in a tough (still) era.
Lebron gets tripled team and double teamed often because his teammates dont know how to make plays for themselves. Just shows how this team has NO BUSINESS being there in the Finals. Lebron too good!
Can we all agree 2018 LeBron would beat all the teams he lost to in the finals. Like come on he doesn't even play like this anymore he's 10x better now
When u think bout it, he made the finals in his second playoff run. It took him 2 attempts to get to the finals, thats crazy. I sure do miss old cavs bron
tennisee10 so? How many players through out history have CARRIED a team to the finals at or around that age? If you have an answer for that I'd sincerely like to know
tennisee10 actually the finals was June . Bron Birthday in December. So he was 22. Ik not such a big difference but don’t try and downplay a 22 year old leading a team by himself to the finals Vs a top 3 offensive and defense with the best coach and team in the league 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
This was the first time a coach dared lebron to shoot jumpers . and it worked . after this season his jumper got 10x bettwr and he never had that problem again. Its disgusting to think he was 21 years old leading a team that had no business in the finals. Hes the greatest ive ever watched from a talent stand point and i grew up on jordan and watched kobe become the mamba. Lebron is the most explosive complete package ive ever seen . no mattwr who he played there wad a chance he was gunna will his team to a win
Diego Velazquez we not talking about 2011 nba finals 😂 this was 2007 nba finals at 21 years old. That man at that time is the definition of “Prime” nba player
KOBE IS MORE EXPLOSIVE .. 62 IN THREE QUARTERS DROPS 55 AND 42 IN THE FIRST HALF ON MJ LAST GAME AND 81 POINTS AND ALSO 56 POINTS IN THREE QUARTERS AND 30 POINTS IN ONE QUARTER AND 9 STRAIGHT 40 POINTS OR MORE PLUS POINTS AND A LOT OF TOUGH SHOTS AND KNOCKING DOWN SHOTS EVEN THE HANDS ON HIS FACE .. LEBRON IS EXPLOSIVE GOING TO THE RIM IN OPEN .. LEBRON DOESN'T FIGHT TOE TO TOE AND HE WILL GONNA PASS THE BALL OR CALL FOR A SCREEN...FOR ME PASSING IS A COWARD NO KILLER INSTINCT ..
I remember watching those finals. People forget that San Antonio with Duncan , Gonobili and Parker had 3 Hall of Fame candidates, they were a hell of a team and had great chemistry. Too much for Cleveland...
LeBron got beat by the same big 3 in 2007 and 7 years later in 2014. Now the big 3 are all retired, Spurs are at the bottom but got a promising center, and LeBron is nearing retirement.
Just proves what I feel: he's the best to ever do it, because he's the only one who threatens everyone's favorite players. Jordan and Kobe stans have spent damn near 20 years setting unrealistic expectations for Lebron, because if they don't diminish his achievements he starts to look pretty damn unique. Steve Kerr won with Jordan and beat Lebron, and HE says that him and Jordan stand alone.
Lebron never lost first round in playoffs. MJ didn’t have to play a 70 win team. Also MJ had Phil Jackson as his coach. Lebron never had a God Tier coach. While MJ is the greatest in accolades and overall legacy to basketball, Lebron is arguably a better all around player compared to Jordan. Lebron is a regular triple double threat, and was and overall better playmaker.
rell getting to the finals is a participation trophy saying you dominated your conference not the league lol .MJ won in 91 and 98 without a single all star on his roster 🌝. How many times has Lebron won a ring with no all stars? How many times has he won with a single all star ? Lebron hasn’t won a single ring without playing alongside two all stars lol
Lebron is really different from Kobe and MJ because He was stood alone and carried the team on his back , MJ and Kobe both of them have fav coach and great duo … King Build it different
They felt bad for Curry being surrounded by many players at age 32 but they didn't felt bad for this LeBron at age 21/22, and he dealt with this kind of defense in his 1st 7 years with the Cavs.
A 21 yr old who faced the Superteam San Antonio Spurs But still he didn't backdown to his team but rather they kept on fighting. Lebron James is the Chosen one 🐐
If lebron was this aggressive in 2011 against the mavs, the heat would’ve been the champs, this 07 version of bron was on another level from that 2011 one
Thank you!!!!!! This what I be telling people. His ass started getting soft as soon as he felt like he could pass the ball to another star. His mindset went from “whatever it takes to win” to “who do I need to win”
The fact that he made it all the way to the nba finals 5 times w no chip is something that doesn't look bad but impressive on his career, then u add up his rings = g.o.a.t
They should've kept painting the Larry O'Brien on the court erry finals, looks so sick. I remember playing NBA Live and putting the court settings so that the trophy would be on the hardwood
It's crazy how that version of LeBron James is damn near a kid but this version would destroy the league today . This MF is unreal. Been the face of the league since he entered it. The mf GOAT
Bron carried this team to the finals. It's Ok Bron win Cleveland a title. Cavs 2016 NBA champs and had winning seasons in Cleveland in 10 of his 11 seasons.
Man...I’ve never seen anyone bully Bruce Bowen the LeBron did! Too bad it was one man versus an all time great dynasty. Which, was true of LeBron and some his opponents in multiple scenarios and Finals.
MIKI SUROJ of course in retrospect you can say that the pistons were trash without Wallace, but in 2007, they were a 1st seed, the defending champs Heat had got swept by the bulls in the 1st round and the pistons beat the bulls in the 2nd round. So No one thought of the cavs as a actual challenger and Bron took them to 7, and won The conference on the fuckin road at 21 years old. Come on man, how can you possibly hate?
LeBron carried that team but the east was absolute trash that year compared to the west teams. Not a negative against LeBron because you play who ever is in front of you. That cavs team led the league in defense largely due to LeBron but was probably like the 5th best team in the league that year.
I remember Larry Hughes was injured & missed Games 3 & 4!! He was missed & could've won at least 1 or 2 games because they lost by 3 in Game 3 & Game 4 lost by 1 but it was at the the buzzer..
Lol and Iverson never went to the finals after that. Lebron brought another set of corpses with him in 2018, so you cannot tell me that at least one of those cavs teams wasn’t worse than the 01 sixers
@@mohamedcoulibaly5774 and your point is what? The topic isnt did Iverson go back to the finals..its that his team was worse than that 2007 team and he carried a WAY bigger load with no other offensive threat to play alongside with....against w these false narratives..its so funny how ppl play w lebron they're corpses but when they play other places they're decent...look at what Derrick rose had done since leaving the cavs.. look at those players ppg before joining lebron n after...rodney hood was at 18 ppg and when he went to the cavs he barely played so please w the excuses..you bron fans are worse than cowboys fans
@@aneedkassim9727 please look up the stats of 2007 finals...theres only 1 game that was a forgone conclusion..the other 3 were winnable by the cavs..lebron didnt play well...
These coverages on a 21 y/o are insane. Hedge every screen, and then bring help on both sides of the paint. The rest of the cavs should be embarrassed that it was so successful
Jordan is my goat but still dude this was an insanely good spurs team and he was the only player on his team who was an all star caliber player give him credit
@@vickrichardson819 Disagree, Mj could also entered the league in 19 if he wants to. He just want to wait himself getting better. Nobody could made a 28ppg in the rookie year just like Mike.
People say Lebron had no help in 2015 vs GS and discredit that championship but no one discredit the spurs championship despite the 07 Cavs being weaker than the 2015 team a Lebron had in the finals
@@z4ng3tsu1ch1g0 2008 cavs at celtics game 1...lebron 2-18 12 points 10 turnovers 4 fouls 2 missed fts 1 steal cavs barley lose by 4 in a tied game to start the 4th....lose series in 7...but he had no help..ok...
That duo of Lebron and Ilgauskas. They almost have it. Spurs are just a too strong Super Team Led by Duncan, Ginobili and Parker. While Cleveland ain't a super team
