Not wearing full gear is his own choice, doesn't hurt me or anyone in this comment section. I'm sure he hears it every second of his life on the bike, people calling him a squid, noob, dumbass, etc and doesn't need any of you to tell him these things. All I ask is that he changes the title of this video to "Camaro SS being chased by Wild man on R1"
That last thing sounded great...yes...a Camaro ss being followed by a MANIAC in an R1...I never loose my coolness when i drive one of my sports cars and see somebody passing me like crazy...i just even slow down even more. I don't remember the last time I drove at 85 MPH in any of my cars and i can get between 180 and 200 mph, depending on which of my cars and i like to drive no more that 75, so i don't care if i am driving an airplane and not taking full advantage of the speed available on the car...so, continue driving at 75 maximum. That is the reason that any of my cars never been in the body shop.
And why do you think that..ever watched bike racing when they fall of at like 120 and just slide? If you got full gear the leather and those hard plastics on te back knees Elbos ect do damn work with a t shirt your skin is gone down to the bone hell probably grinded off some bone ...with leathers if you stay on one spot for too long hw maybe you will get some burn blisters but just from heat it won't come throught...this is just if he slides but if he smashed into the back of a car then yes the difference will not be as big ha
Well the only gear which actually saves your life is your helmet and to some extent a back protector to protect your spine (doesn't really save your life though). The only worse thing to happen to this guy versus a fully geared rider in the same crash is terrible, terrible road rash. But, if it's a crash he'd live with gear, he'll survive it without too.
I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter much whether you get hit by a car wearing leathers or no gear, your neck can break either way. And of course, anything can happen. But in the exact same crash, leathers don't protect your life more than no leathers.
Philipp Widmann Road rash can kill you, you do need your skin to live. Bleeding out can't be much fun either. Also most gear has joint protection, that will help absorb the impact, the less damage to your body the less likely you are going to go into shock and die from that. Gloves will keep you from grinding your fingers off on ashphault(clutching and using front brake are much easier if you have fingers). So if leathers don't make a difference. Tell me how you don't need your blood or skin to live? I would love to hear it.
rroadrider15 exactly at this speed it is. There are accidents documented like a german guy who drove in the back of a car at nearly 200 kmh and had like no injuries because of his gear
I've been at both sides to this, owning a Ninja and a Camaro, and I must say I'm impressed with the respect between both of them. I love respect when racing and the classic head node. Also, all you haters, fuck off. Why else would any one buy either if they weren't going to drive it like they stole it?
Pretty useless at those speeds and that environment/circumstances. Search on youtube : Isle of Man 2014 - Bob Price Fatal Accident And see what I'm talking about
I wasn't talking about track pal, IN THOSE CIRCUMSTANCES you won't hit any CLEAN race track, or protective tires, OR GRASS OR SAND. He will most likely hit a wall and at his speed that is game over no matter what kind of gear you are wearing.
Ok so Im assuming you dont ride with gear or own any at that point then. You never know, Id feel a whole lot more comfortable with gear on especially if Im going to be doing stupid shit like that.
Oh, I have good gear, but he doesn't :) And I was just pointing a fact. At slow speeds and provided that you don't hit a wall at 70mph, gear is extremely important, but other than that, on the streets, it's kind of useless at high speeds, if you are going to crash it's over. Ok ok ok , there are a small number of situations that on high speeds gear can make a difference. It's ok to wear gear nonetheless.
Whats really wild is how much you people care about my safty lol who cares if I live or die or loose an ass cheek it wont change anything in your lives
Lol I don't get why people care what you do. If you fall without gear it's your problem. I don't care what people do, just accept the consequences from it.
I don't give a flying fuck about you, I just come to see the comments about one's stupidity. oh and I can't leave before typing my obligatory comment, "stupid squid".
ApexIXMR the faster you go, the more reaction space you need. this guy was riding smart fast in case anything happened he would have time to react. dude that bike wasnt even sweating
At least you got a helmet on....... If you got money for a newer bike why not buy the gear. It protects and if you buy the right shit, you could look like a fucking super hero. Bad example right here kids.
Is this on the way to Norfolk/Hampton Roads/Virginia Beach area? Or on the way back from that area? Because this looks very similar to the tunnel on the way there!
Hey bro!!! I gotta 2007 R1.. I bought brand new... Still only have 2,900 miles on it... lol What kinda of pipe did you have on your R1... sounds great. Did you have anything else done to it??
Try falling on concrete when your skateboarding. Now try falling onto concrete with bear skin going over 100mph. Oh you fell with your hand down first? Your hand will literally grind off in seconds on the concrete down to your wrist. So from someone with an IQ yes it is that serious. Riding like a knob is one thing, have no gear is another. Derp I have a helmet I'm good.
Zalonka lol i know that, and i'm pretty sure he knows that too. I'm just saying is it that serious for everyone to get so mad lol like he knows the consequences everyone sounds like a mom on here
1992pattrow Watched any SBK races lately? They fall of from well above 100mph, and there has been very few deaths compared to how many times they fall off...
youre nuts bro... no gear!?! i fuck around too and tear up the curves in california mountains but fully geared up bro. hope you dont ever wreck too bad or a wake up call might be too late.
subrosasalvador2011 good on you man, I fell just doing 40mph no gear. Shoulder was scraped to the bone, same with one of my hips and fractured and scraped my left arm. Lesson learned! I might not dress like a power ranger, but always wear a helmet and jacket. If I know I'm going to go fast, I wear ce protectors for my knees and chins as well.
100+ mph wheelies with a t and no gloves..I mean hey it's not my life but I would imagine he enjoys his skin the way it is and no what it would look like after sliding from 120 to 0
You know a secret to knowing that this guy can't ride his r1? First of all he has no gear on besides a helmet. Second of all he was behind a Camaro the entire time. The Camaro weights over 3,400 lbs...
He wasn't or he would have been miles ahead of the Camaro. I'm assuming he just went out and bought the R1 as his first bike and is inexperienced with many riding techniques. AKA scared of his own bike.
I think its the Chesapeake Bay bridge tunnel. I dont think the hrbt has a soft right turn coming out of it like in this video. But the cbbt does, i could be wrong though
0:54 can someone explain to me how you rev engine while you're in gear without switching to neutral. I only have a little one 125cc dirt bike so I wouldn't know and I'm 13 so I can't have a bike like that
i like 3 things with R1,maybe 4 tbh, 1. BRAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2. Handling 3. Power!!!!! 4. themost important, sound! doesnt metter if you riding in tunnel or on road, it always sounds sweet! so powerful!
they're there to monitor conditions in the tunnel. such as if there's an accident, or just general traffic conditions. that being said, there would be some cameras which actually are speed traps in some tunnels throughout the world.
how long you been riding? you must be an exceptional rider and extremely confident. im not as good as you i have yet to make it too the road on a bike. i would use jacket gloves and riding pants + boots because i may fall and end up breaking my ass after tearing my hands up on the road
