Here is my 2007 W211 Mercedes Benz E550. I wanted to do an exhaust and finally got it done. I did a high flow Xpipe with a muffler delete and man does it sound good.

Love my 07 E550 this car is so deceivingly fast I’d love to go AMG eventually maybe an E63 however the lower cost of operation, insurance I’m paying for this is amazing. OE tuning is way to go for additional gains.
Yeah I fucking love my blacked out car 2007 e550. The dark tints make it look badass asf, many people tell me it looks like a gangster car😂 I get compliments on it all the time and it’s in perfect condition even though it has 135k miles, and it’s been very reliable. I wouldn’t sell it for anything unless I got an e63(which is on my bucket list, I just don’t know if I want to sell the car to do that, might just keep it)
@@eddiejr9169 nice , I kinda Over paid for mine but man the car rides so well for the money…. Although I just got it diagnosed at the dealership and the repairs that it needs was quoted at roughly 4,000$ 😂…. Of course I went to a local mechanic and was quoted 1600$ for the same repairs ;)
R.I.P. my brother. I currently have Landon's ride and have made it even louder with more mods and a custom Kleemann tune. I'll make a channel and post some vids once I'm done modding out the ride.
You have mods for e550 ? If you do so lmk ASAP and I installed just dual pipe instead of x-pipe and resonator delete Nd my secondary cats my shit loud and it pops on gears
@@jesusgamez8526 yeah the car is hooked up with long tube headers, catless downpipe, x-pipe, muffler and resonator delete. Sport Camshafts, Ruthenium Plugs, K and N filters, 370 amp alternator with BIG 3 wiring for DDAudio sound system, custom ECU tune. It sounds way meaner now, this video doesn't do it justice. I tried uploading a video of how the car sounds by doing a pull but then Karen pulled out in front of me. You can hear the growl a little bit though, it's a short clip on my channel.
Just catback straight piped my blacked out e550 today, deleted mufflers and resonators and everything, and put quad exhaust tips on. Sounds amazing, yours does too. Not sure if it’s just me, but the car does feel a tiny bit slower tho.
That will happen, i did something similar to mine. I originally went to my local exhaust shop (he's been around for 38 years) he has the same car also and he was very strict on NOT removing rear mufflers as you loose a noticeable amount of torque due to back pressure. Instead he removed my second cat converters (you won't throw codes if you don't touch the front cat's) and he replaced the middle muffler with a high-flow X pipe. Sounds just like a C63 AMG if not better! and doesn't drone through the car which i really did not want.
@@kevinc1162 wrong you will lose a little bit of torque. Removed second cat and put an x pipe. Buy a cheap free flow muffler and you wont lose torque and still have the sound you are looking for.
I have a 2010 w212 e550... N/A car. Did the same thing... x pipe... too tame still, chopped off the mufflers and put a straight pipe setup into the rear tips to try until I selected appropriate mufflers.... im still trying a year or so into straight piping and smile every day/
@@Enzo-tg8uo i just depends man maintaining it properly and making sure ur buying a clean car helps too. I had both a 08 e350 and a 09 e550 with air suspension. The e350 I owned for a bout 3 yrs from 45k miles to 75ish never really had a big problem with it except the engine light was on from week 2 till I sold it. The e550 was one of the best cars I’ve had super reliable but if u own a air suspension car it’s only a matter of time before the suspension goes to shit. I kid u not I fixed the suspension ran me about $2k and a week later the car flooded. I had that car for a bit under 3 years added 30k miles to it like I said bulletproof besides the suspension but that might not be the case with every w211.
@@omarlopez27 how many miles do these lasts ?? I just bought an 08 E550 AMG package with 155K miles for 6600$ ? Was that a good purchase price ? The car is 9/10 overall…. However as I was driving it back home ( 25 miles ) it started to smell like burnt and noticed white smoke coming out of the hood and the steering wheel started to get hard to turn and I got a Red battery sign on the dash board and the car was getting overheated … so I’m a bit nervous right now lol :( any idea as to how bad it is before I call a mechanic ?
@@Enzo-tg8uo bro you need to get it looked at asap depending on where u take it the price will range but I’m sure it’s gunna be steep regardless. My e550 only had 110k miles and I only ran into those suspension problems.
Hi im Chris From California. First answer... Ur E... is not the Sportline... Its what we call in Europe its Elegance. I have those pipes coz i have the Sport package plus the Avantgarte trimline wich was here kind of premium plus. u also see that u have no silverstripes at the front fog lights and probably no white cluster and no rear ambient lights for the rear seats. I have a E350 was thinking about stuff like that... but since I am originally from Germany I agree with you by the sound but not the way u left it. German Engineers think their part when they put a pipeline for the exhaust fume all the way to the back through. Ok u remove the box. But u can not leave it like that. Weather the Carbon Monoxide gas will enter somewhen into the cabin while waiting at McDonald DriveTHRU or it just wabble to much coz u removed also the rear rubbermounts idk.
Do you have a video of how and where exactly you made your cuts for the mufflers? I took my E500 into the shop and got it done. Sounded amazing but I had to put her down for a while and decided to buy a 2007 E550. Looking into doing a muffler delete as well but after watching your video I'm a bit tempted in doing it myself.

this is my brothers channel and he sold the car a few years ago! he always had a new car and didn’t keep them very long. he passed away in september 2020 at 23 years old.
@@indicacesar Lambda sensor is located after the first pair of cats so removing the second pair also won't cause a check engine and removing second pair of cats change a lot in the sound of that engine
