A Matte Black Rear Window Louver from MP Concepts is a simple way to add bold, classic styling to your modern 2008-2020 Dodge Challenger. This MP Concepts Rear Window Louver features an angled design that blocks the sun rays, but still allows you to see clearly out the rear window without obstruction. With this Rear Window Louver installed on your Challenger you will be sure to turn heads where ever your go.
This MP Concepts Rear Window Louver will not only give your Challenger a bold classic appearance, but with its convenient lift off design it can easily be removed for routine cleaning of your back window.
Manufactured from injection molded acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), this Rear Window Louver was designed to ensure a perfect fit. ABS is an extremely strong material known for its light-weight, superior durability and impact resistance - making it perfect to withstand the hazards of daily driven vehicles. MP Concepts then completes their Louver in a durable matte black finish for great looks and long life.
MP Concepts designed their Rear Window Louver to install simply with no drilling required. This MP Concepts Rear Louver installs using mounting brackets that secure to the exterior rear window glass with 3M automotive bonding tape. Installation can be completed in about one hour with just basic hand tools, however you should wait at least 24 hours for the brackets to fully cure before driving. muscle.am/2TOZh7w

OK, People who buy these louvers, here are two extra steps that will make this a largely painless install that you won't have to immediately go and fix: 1) BUY ADHESION PROMOTER. 3M sells this, and it is advisable that you not only coat the brack BEFORE you put the double sided tape on, but you also thoroughly clean your window with neutral alcohol and then treat the area also with adhesion promoter. 2) SEAL YOUR BRACKETS. Whether you use Gorilla Glue tape or the included 3M tape, you MUST seal them with RTV clear silicone to ensure that your brackets stay waterproof and in turn don't end up peeling. As a final note, something that few videos and none of the included instructions clue you in on: All adhesives need cure time in order to properly bond to its surface. Guess what injures that process: putting your heavy louver onto the car and screwing it into the mounts before the adhesion has properly cured. In fact, as you see in the video, the resistance of the louver was pulling the double sided tape up even before it had time to cure. Mount the brackets ONE DAY before screwing in the louver for good. Let the adhesive have time to cure and you will get the absolute best results.

Hey there, could you explain step #2 a bit more in detail? I'm not sure what you mean by "seal the brackets." Should be coated in silicone after they're mounted to the glass and cured but before you attach the louvers?

I just put these on my Challenger. So far so good in the hot Florida sun. I did use 3M 4298UV Adhesion Promoter on both the glass and the metal brackets, and made sure the glass was super clean.

I recently put these on my Challenger. I am not 100% positive yet, but I think the self dimming rearview mirror no longer dims. Maybe the louvers block out just enough light to keep the mirror from dimming? Anyone else notice this?

You’re 100% right, the louvers are intended to add style, reduce glare, and keep the car's interior cool. So now you’re basically protected twice.

They don't use the primer because they aren't going to leave the louvers on, it's just a demo install. They should mention this.
