Yea there was a lot of payback on that day - We were so happy to get those 7 years of Iron Bowl losses behind us - The band didn't even wait until the clock hit 0:00 and fired up The Rammer Jammer with 0:19 left on the clock 😂😂 🏆🐘🏈 Roll Tide
I remember those "fear the thumb" shirts the Auburn fans used to wear at my high school... I HATED that crap! We finally beat them after i graduated and i never got the satisfaction of wearing a victory shirt to school. Oh well, 6 national titles later and i found a way to live with it! ROLL TIDE!
Just an interesting piece of football trivia. Former Auburn coaches Shug Jordan, Pat Dye, Tommy Tuberville and Gene Chizik were all shut out in their final games at Auburn by Alabama, 28-0 in 1975, 17-0 in 1992, 36-0 in 2008, and 49-0 in 2012.
It wasn't a shutout, but Gus got a beatdown in his last Iron Bowl, 42-13 in 2020. And Saban wasn't even present because he had to sit out due to having tested positive for Covid19 and few days earlier
i was at this game ROLL TIDE!!!!! also this was my 1st iron bowl i ever went to. grew up always watching it on tv. but WOW what an electrifying atmosphere
Glen Coffee was a beast...he doesn't get the credit that other Saban RBs get, but had he come back in 2009, he, not Ingram, would have won the Heisman.
@@godismy1fav I kinda agree honestly. How did he win in but Trent didn't , Eddie Lacy didn't . But it all has to do with what players where like that specific year also . But considering how good Ingram is now in the NFL , I guess he deserved it and it didn't go to some bust. But I see why people would think why he didn't totally deserve it
Went to high school with Nikita Stover. Funny thing is, his older brother Mario is who we all thought was going to be a pro athlete. I played baseball against Mario in little League as we were at different grade schools. We called him Dr. Mario we all loved that dude even though he wasn't on our team.
The reason why we did terrible between 1997-2006. With the acception of 1999, and 2005. It's because we had coaches that didn't know what they are doing wrong. Broke some violations. Getting banned to a bowl game for 2 years. Didn't properly coach. The athletic director was a num nut and let the bad coaches stay for 1 more year. Recruiting violations, and coaches that were doing wrong as a sin. I call this Era the age of hulimation. Let's make sure this never happens again. And improve in the future. If Alabama wants to shut down this rivalry for good. Then keep winning to the point that Auburn fans will lose hope. Then they will give up and rejoin with us Bama fans. Also I hate having a civil war in our state. We need to be united and take down other states. Like Florida and Mississippi.
Coaches you never want to piss off: Bill Belichick: he’ll sit or deactivate you just before a Super Bowl. Or cut you for being late to practice after rushing for over 200 yards on SNF. Tom Coughlin: never underestimate old school Irish Catholic rage. Just ask Lawrence Tynes. Bill Parcels: Self explanatory Nick Saban: See His eviscerating scold of the kicker in the 4th 😂
Auburn's National Championship Title from 2010 might get snatched away by the NCAA if they find more evidence of Cam Newton being paid money by the coaches or if leaves the NFL and has to explain the truth to the NCAA on how he failed to cut it in the NFL which will leave Auburn with one claimed Natty from 1957 which is a split one with a rival team.
@@antipro85Yeah keep on telling yourself that like you think it won't happen sooner or later.I'm gonna laugh so hard at you and the rest of the real delusional Auburn fans if does. And I hate that I would have to do that but it would leave me no choice but to it if it ever does happen.Roll Tide.
Ignatius Relish in that and in the 2013 iron bowl because those will be the only good memories Auburn fans will have of the iron bowl for a loooonnnnnngggg time
