This design must be so fresh in 2008. Even today it's not outdated. I remember the 2016 a4 also uses this kind of interior and exterior (just did a facelift)
I own a 2011 A4. Only major difference I notice on interior is the temperatures are displayed for the heated seats, or it's general car temperature. It's one of the 2
@@hytq1344 try actually looking at and driving the FL version. There no longer the electro hydraulic steering, new water pump, second generation dsg, oil pump and so on.
Good old memories of the 1.8tfsi. Everytime i hear the „beep“ on the dashboard after 200km, I exactly knew i need to pour another 2 liters of oil into the engine.
That 1.8, in my opinion, was probably the best petrol engine VW made at the time, my son had it in an Octavia VRS and it was a lovely drive. Once again, nice drive Joe thankyou.
@@marvinatl8528 I never new that, my son never had a problem with his, but it is a VW engine and I don't think VW are as wonderful as people seem to think, going by my own past experience with a 2 ltr TDI I certainly would not have another, I don't think my wife would get in it, It's just that VRS did drive very well and the 1.8 seemed to suit it although that's nothing to do with the mechanical problems you mention. Thanks for the update.
@@rayfordham9230 1.8T and 1.8 TFSI are very diffrent engines, the 1.8T that octavia has is the good one, the 1.8 TFSI that is on this car is litteraly the worst engine that VW ever made, it burns a lot of oil, it has very big problems with the timing chain, litteral garbage engine
@@cocosnake755 Hello! Probably going for this exact car as my firstcar. What do you think of it and do they have some usual problems? Hows the oil consumption? Greetings from Sweden
Oh man... The memories! My first car was a B8 1.8TFSI for over 2 years. After had a B8.5 2.0 tdi quattro 177 and now a B9 3.0 tdi quattro v6 272. I miss that manual TFSI...
Hello! Probably going for this exact car as my firstcar. What do you guys think of it and do they have some usual problems? Hows the oil consumption? Greetings from Sweden
If you haven't gotten one yet: I've got one for almost a year now. Aside from heavy oil consumption, no issues. For the engine revision, make sure these are done: - Aftermarket piston with piston rings that specifically tackle the oil usage (because the OEM design gets clogged after a while) - New cylinder liner - Timing chain If you're getting one that has had an engine revision, get it on paper in the buying contract that this was part of the deal, so you don't get shafted. If you're getting one that has not had the revision, haggle off a few thousand Euro for the job. Find a local-ish garage that can do this job. Aside from that, my B8.5 has been great. It's a 1.8TFSI, 170HP one, but I also got it chipped to 230HP, which makes it much nicer to drive. If you can look around a bit, try finding one with the higher resolution screen - for just $200 or so you can retrofit wireless Android Auto / CarPlay, which updates the whole feeling driving it to pretty much 2023.
Ps. Mimo że przed zakupem czytając opinie byłem średnio nastawiony.
you should put the gopro somewhere than in your head because yu get us dizzy when you turn your head left/right and right/left to see if there are cars that arrive
i had this car for 3 years, except for poor quality of buttons (sound of them) everything else is trully great. I had only 1 turbo issue and that's it.
Really? Audi's staple is their button feedback. I love the click that every single knob, switch, and dial provides. MMI control wheel and climate control dials sound the best.
@@SuperBasshunters You should be happy about that, because Joe drives like a maniac and therefor he always get very bad consumption from the cars he has driven.
I own one, quite a lot of legroom surprisingly. It looks like not much because of the camera angle. Mines also a 2011 so it may have been updated since
