@@eglide73 I know Rich personally and have nothing but respect for him. People can make their own decisions on the winglets. I’ve read the NTSB report and read Tamarack’s detailed and lengthy reply. My opinions and conclusions are my own, my suggestion is that people read and decide for themselves. Buying a jet and flying your family, or coworkers, or whatever is a decision with large consequences.
I was on this aircraft when it had the Tamarack failure while taking off from Bournemouth, back when it was registered as the N680KH. I can tell you that it cured me from flying private, especially with Tamarack winglets. Im suprised that they are still flying this specific aircraft with Tamarack’s, after the 2-3 fatal crashes linked to the loose screw failure. (only linked after the near fatal crash on April 13th 2019 with this aircraft)
We were looking for no auto pilot use! I was kind of kidding - Cirrus didn’t renew me as a CSIP because I didn’t use these their course material as required to be a CSIP!
