I'd like to thank you for the 2x 3" extender tip! The ones that where hard to get by, where noticeable more worn and a different brand than the ones on the frontside. And mine has run only 160k KM, plus im the second owner. It seems like the Honda dealer didn't knew about this trick and were lazy. A 25min job...thanks my man keep it up!
Thank you for taking the time to make this very good video. Before watching your video I didn't even know where the spark plugs were (LOL). I guess I am going to find out what the old plugs look like after 200K miles of use. My car has been jerking a bit on acceleration. Not sure if it is missing or there is something with the CVT. Either way it can probably use some new plugs.
Thank you, you made this a pleasure to do! I really enjoyed changing the plugs in my 08 Hybrid! I had seen other videos where they removed the tray you're putting the nuts in and I really didn't want to get into that. I had the right extensions and even loosened the coil hood just to make sure I could get on to the nuts in the back. Everything went smooth with no hiccups! Thank you again, this video really helped!
@Quartermiler hey, i am a first timer on this and dont have any tool box for it, which one would you recommend for spark plugs + other stuff for the car, a budget option would be great as I dont intend to keep the car for long.
@@bluweorangyzie9170 Well, I actually bought a nice little socket set from Harbor Freight as a second set to have around. Make sure you get a second extension to go with it. The set is: QUINN 1/4 In., 3/8 In., 1/2 In. Drive SAE & Metric Hi-Vis Socket Set, 66 Pc. The spark plug socket has an insert that holds the spark plug in place while inserting and removing the plug. Worked well for me.
That can be a trick, sometimes just a little force but you dont want to strip the threads in the heads. you may be able to let the car run for 30 seconds, just enough to get the heads warm and they can come loose easier that way
@@EfurdGarage well my code check said I needed to change 1-4 so I did the front ones. Having trouble with the back. So I guess I’m wondering if the back are 5-8 so I can worry about them another day
What spark plugs do you use to this car ?? I know they recommend irydium but can i use cheaper one if yes please tell me what model spark plus are compatible
i didnt see anything in notes on the plugs for it, and alot say not to use it beacuse, Anti-seize lubricants decrease the amount of friction between the threads, resulting in over tightening. i think i have seen a few that have some on them out of the box. but not many. i dont add any unless a spark plug recommends it or factory recommends it
