Here is the link to where I got the parts. Way cheaper than the dealership and I actually ordered a package, but I only replaced solenoids A & D. I didn't need to replace anything else to fix my problem. I had both codes for both Solenoids read that the circuits were open and solenoid A also read that the circuit was high.
My A and C are open or shorted. I went to a dismantling shop to dismantle the original car and replace it with the original one, but it still reports P0962 and P0970. I can't find out the reason. Please enlighten me! Thank you
Wow my 2008 Acura TL has the same transmission and I’ve been looking at so many different places to find where those solenoids are. I got the P0741 TCC solenoid stuck off. Thanks for the video. Really appreciate it
@@armvndo6644 You better get a gasket from the dealer and fix that. I have yet to have the chance to work on mine. I found that the TCC solenoid is shift solenoid D, and I can't wait to fix it. Hopefully, that will make the code go away and the transmission shifts much smoother.
@@markdziamski4859 Yes, I changed it out about a month ago. I've only driven about 200 miles since then. So far, no issues and no check engine light. Shifts are a lot smoother, and I can feel a slight jerk, but that's my engine and trans mounts which I found were in bad condition when I was changing the solenoid. If you're planning to change the solenoid. I recommend buying new gaskets for the linear solenoid and the solenoid valve cover to ensure no leaks after installation.
Where's part 3 at? What happened after you changed these 2 solenoids? What were those 2 solenoids for? What was happening or what was wrong with the transmission?
Where is the update video? Also how do I remove the harness from the transmission body? I’m trying to do the same change on a 2008 Honda accord V6 and it’s super difficult getting to those bottom two bolts out of the 6 that is there. None of my wrenches fit to grab the bolt. What tools did you use?
My man I watched your videos part 1 and 2 for the shifting solenoid and they are vert helpful but I don't see any more videos to continue how did you remove them any help will be great
There are two bolts inside that hold the solenoids in place. The solenoids simply snap in, but you have to be careful when you remove them because one goes on top of the other. Then you put the bolt in place to hold them in.
Great video! I am wondering a few things. Did you get a check engine light? What exactly were your symptoms? Shift issues? Shuddering, over rev. Anything that would stand out? Baby the throttle up slowly and it shifted fine? I would love to know. Thank you!
Hi. The check engine light never came up, but my brother has a scanner that detects malfunctions before the code gets stored in the car's computer. The issues I was having were that it strarted shuddering when cold. On one cold day it shuddered really bad while we were driving at around 30 mph. Then the "D" light started flashing when I would turn it on in the morning, followed by some very rough shifting into drive and back to reverse. All of the symptoms went away after replacing the two shift solenoids. I believe that the codes said that one was stuck on and the other said that it was circuit malfunction.
I would advise to get original parts. I had to replace the same solenoids again from the Honda dealership because they went bad, but this time they were saying that it was a malfunction. One went bad, and then a month later the other one said it was stuck on again.

I just bought my 08 pilot and got an over rev 2nd to 3rd gear. 3rd and 4th hunt eachother and there has been some weird shudder here and there. I'm on trans fluid swap#2 awaiting the 3rd batch lol. I may have to inquire around for a proper scan. I doubt our Ross Tech cable will do the job. But I may check it out anyways who knows haha. Pressure switch 2 to 3 was changed and i noticed more erratic shifting between 3 and 4 now. I'm on my way to the part store for the 3 to 4 pressure switch. Never got a flashing D. Hoping for the best. But your video has helped TONS. Its nice to find some folks who have some of these issues. Shops are always willing to sell a unit over fixing it. After working in many ive quit my morals hurt lol. I cant take advantage of folks and Hondas have always been great to me. I'll let you know what i find. The more info on this this generation of units the better in my opinion. 😎🔧

Where did you buy the parts? What are the part numbers? This might help my Honda as well. Mine is shift solenoid A and C, it says control circuit high...
I got the parts through Amazon, but the vendor name was "Simple is not simple." I replaced solenoids A & D and the tranny is fine now. It hasn't jerked at all and the codes haven't come back after I posted the video. I'll try to post the link to the parts.

Hi good video..I have one question my odyssey 2007 Is start good It starts well but when put in reverse or drive the mechanic turns off and came to scan it and this code came out shift selenoid valve D stuck on..---My question is that I must change here the selenoid is that which is below black or the one on the lid
