Repairing and upgrading my 2008 24-inch iMac.
There was major scuffing and gouging on the front fascia (it looked like the iMac had been through a hay baler) so rather than repair it like a car with body filler and a respray, I got a like new bezel from eBay for $5.00 shipped.
Since I was going to be in the iMac anyway, I salvaged the 240 GB (( mthought 250 - oh well), Pioneer branded SSD from my Lenovo ThinkCentre M57 and installed it along with 4 GB of DDR2 SO-DIMMs.
I intend on doing some demoes of my MicroMV camcorder from Sony, So I installed Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) and made all concomitant upgrades to the system. I installed Opera 25, and while I say in the video that it works with RU-vid, I was wrong. I instead installed Arctic Fox 10, which does work.
