i had one lock up and blow my engine, i had a warranty so i was lucky. on my second Kawasaki Ultra 260x i bought a similar kit for peace of mind. i got mine here though, alot cheaper than what you got. shop.jetworksperformance.com/jetworks-kawasaki-ultra-250-260-pump-upgrade-kit/dp/967
The jetski only had 80 hours on it when this happened. It is my understanding that it is a known problem but I don't know as everyone sees it at 80 hours.
Just to be clear... in the video I show the new bearings installed and at one point it sounds like I pulled the old bearing out the front or intake side. The only things that come out the intake side is the snap-ring, 3 oil seals and bushing. Everything else comes out the other end.
Sorry, I missed this question and you are probably done now but for the next guy... No special tools needed but access to a press is a good thing. You might be able to do it all with a heavy hammer and a big socket to press the new barrings in. Getting the old barring out took some pretty good swings of a hammer and punch. It actually didn't move until I got a weighted hammer and a hard support behind the pump. The big key is just knowing how everything comes out which is why I shot this quick video. There are a number of ledges inside this pump and it is kind of hard to tell if you need to just push harder or push them out the other direction.
