I agree. I feel like the commentators are a bit biased too, obviously Buakaw is the dominating champion here but the amount of shots Kraus managed to absorb and give right back up until the end was impressive.
I remember the K -1 MAX tournaments very fondly, you had absolute warriors in there like Kraus Souwer Buakaw Masato with great dark horses such as Mike Zambidis Gago Drago Artur Kryshenko and many many more,
Both are ace fighters! Impressed with Kraus's blocks on those thundering kicks, and how he was lightning fast with his punches. He fought fiercely till the end going on attack mode against the legend. Kudos to both tigers. 👏👏👏
@@tonyyayo7422 Albert Kraus winner max 2002 and Buakaw won 2 k1 MAX titels. They are both very respected legends. Buakaw more because of his skills and work ethic. But Albert Kraus team oss very respected aswel!
@@laptopbread buakaw dominated kraus, you're speaking about two rigged matches where buakaw clearly won and the biased judges still gave the win to their hometown guy , Japan did it twice, also , sore losers learn to take a loss, buakaw is more like 5 time k1 Champ, for 20+ years . The entire fighting style is drastically nerfed because no one could even fight him in the prolonged clench . Kraus gets dominated with out it
Buakaw isn't a hard kicker, at least, in his young age like in this match. He instead throws quick but relaxed kicks again and again to manipulate the opponent. In this case, he was obviously alarmed by Kraus' punch, so he kept throwing high kick despite of Kraus's tight guard.
@@pleasure.93 very true nong o and superbon and superlek, kick just as hard and fast. but yes indeed buakaw is a beast, he is the reason I and all 5 of my brothers fight muay thai. if any thai royal reads this in the future please talk to your government, grant buakaw his own island please he earned it. He got us into muay thai and improved all of our lives in the process. True sportsman and one of the greatest most respectable fighters of all time. i've been on youtube from day one, from the day it launched, and no one, of the millions of comments i've read, has ever had more positive comments than buakaw. Not even close, he is up there with the Dalai Lama, its unbelievable.
@@rastabg23 I wouldn't base my comparison of Buakaw and the Dalai Lama on the quantity of RU-vid comments, RU-vid doesn't represent the world and it exists since 2008 while the Dalai Lama is an century old religious institution. Anyways, check out Samkor aka."Batman" if you're interested in hard kicks.
That made no sense. They made them fight an extra round even though Buakaw won rounds 2 and 3. Then give it to Buakaw after the last round was his worst round
Kraus won the last decisions minutes and he should have won the match as after a draw you only count the fight of the extra minutes not the whole match. Buakaw didn't even land a single hit.
You mean you want him to throw more punches and less of them roundhouses ? I think kicks are so much more damaging than hitting with gloves, he would lose...
ya that's what I thought. He looks like someone straight out of an anime.after he retires or dies of old age,may be they will even make a video game character in his resemblance or an anime dedicated to him
A year later i rewatched this match. Kraus is a harder puncher IMO. But did you see how many kicks to Kraus's right bicep and right shoulder were administered? Buakaw knew that he had to slow that weapon down. As the rounds progressed, IMO, it appeared that Kraus's speed of punches slowed down. To me it is obvious. I took only 4-5 years of martial arts. I have had ribs broken, wrists mangled, knocked unconscious, swept and ended up with mangled ankles....finally quit because i had to work for a living and couldn't do my job with so many injuries. My two favorite guys...Diamond Dekker and Buakaw....absolutely Terminator mentalities....Mike Tyson had it also...take me out...or I will kill you.
Fighting any Thai is like putting a newbie vs Serral in SC2. They get demolished. Good fight from Kraus tho, he landed some really good shots and went head to head with the beast, props to him
Kraus put up a damn good fight against renowned fighter Buakaw. Too bad he lost all respect with his lack of class at the end by walking off with his ego hurt. His pride took more of a beating than his right arm. I thought pretty highly of Kraus until the announcement...
@@raybosflorida4928 no, YOU MUST BE FAMILY if you think Albert won. Do you really think completely extraneous snide remarks make you right? Try adding some elements of value to your sentences. Like, Buakaw maintained superior balance, strength, and connectivity throughout, but Albert did not... see now how a fight is won? You gotta land punches that actually hurt in order to win...
I think Buakaw won the first 3 round decision but lost the extension round. The decision for the first 3 rounds I think was scored badly that the judges decided to let Buakaw win even when he's losing the extension round.
Kraus has definitely won the fight in the last round. His hits landed, Buakaw just kicking the hole time against the arms of Kraus nearly no hit landed. Judgment was a joke even Buakaw knew that he has lost.....
These judges just know to speak . if they were really fighters and had experience of match not by seeing it but fighting in a match then the decision would have been correct
Kraus never outgunned Buakaw but actually was more accurate and effective in the last 2 rounds, clearly outpointed him in the last two rounds... Yes, Buakaw did shake him everytime he kicked his arms, but those were covered nonetheless
I dont understand why people even wants to fight Buakaw.its like asking to be punished deliberately but whoever the guy was he sure had a heart,he fought toe to toe like a true warrior with Buakaw.
Buakaw desperately trying and failing to make his kicks connect with Albert's face as he constantly blocking them isn't really what would be considered chill but ok
@@ryanmichael3220 I swear I have a great respect for Kraus (and Buakaw too). I really enjoyed this fight. Kraus has a very efficient guard against Buakaw's high kicks and he lands a lot of punches in the very Buakaw's face. Maybe he should win this one but the judges spoke.
I watched a documentary about Buakaw. ProPramuk was talking about his first (amateur) fight in MT ring. He was still a kid, and all competants were paying 100bucks each to fight. So, Buakaw came home and asked mum to give him a money. Without a word she gave him 100$. Just imagine that as a kid..."mum, can you give me 2 average monthly sallaries on Thailand so I can fight" - In my case she would call the dad, I would really have the "fight" - my but VS leather belt 😁 And yes, Buakaw won this fight fair and square. Their second fight, the rematch in Japan, was much closer fight, but judges gave Buakaw the win (he beat Alex both times, but here it was more than obvious). It was that period, when place they fight was more important than fighting skills.
А Краус то посильнее (точнее и активнее )был в 4 раунде! Хотя проиграл, на мой взгляд, в первых 3-х!!! Тогда зачем было назначать дополнительный раунд?
After 30 minutes of intense kicking and punching...still not tired...Buakaw is a Freaking Man of Steel...Shin Bone = Steel, Stomach = steel...Face = punched too much...Much more dangerous than any ufc fighters.
He has no ground game . An experienced grapling ufc fighter would send him to the shadow realm. Take down and submission is easy against a fighter with strikes and no ground game.
@@BoogieBubbleIncorrect. Buakaw has trained Jiu jitsu from time to time. Nothing like his full time commitment to Muay Thai but he has training on the ground. Just so you know, all fights start standing up.
