01:46 - Disconnect Starter Heat Shield
03:11 - Remove Two Starter Bolts
04:20 - Remove Four Auxiliary Cooler Bolts
05:15 - Remove Transmission Lines From Cooler
06:23 - Remove Starter Heat Shield
06:38 - Remove Wiring Harness Clip From Starter
07:08 - Remove Starter
07:44 - Remove Wires To Starter
08:50 - Compare Old To New Part
09:12 - Reconnect Wires To New Starter
10:30 - Place Starter Into Position
10:51 - Install Two Bolts Into Starter
11:56 - Install Heat Shield
13:07 - Install Auxillary Cooler And Lines
14:21 - Install Air Box

As someone who has very little knowledge on how to do anything on a car, this video was a life saver for our 09 galant! Took two days worth of frustration to take off parts that had never been taken off before, but couldn't have done it without it!

Over 220K miles. Last starter died. Have to change it again. Watched this video again. It is a Great video. Nice job. Thanks again.

Thanks man.. i seen the other way which requires takin off those headers up front but didnt wanna do all that nd replace all the gaskets.. this way was a lil more tedious but definitely worked💯thank u bro.. she starts up lik water now thanks i

Wow what a cluster fuck! I hope mine never goes. I have a silver/grey 09 Galant. Far cry from the days over being able to just crawl under the ole Chevy pick-up, no jacks needed and popping 2 bolts out huh?

Question for you or ANYONE who cam help. I have a 2010 galant. I stopped at Wal-Mart got back into the car and it won't start up. I replaced the battery still nothing. I get all lights radio ect. There is a quit clicking sound sounds electronic coming from under the hood. Could this be the starter?

Starter, solenoid, wire connectors or ground wires. Highly doubt ignition for that symptom. Try putting key in, forward without starting for a minute or two. Then start. Maybe you have a security light on.

Thats not the head gasket that is causing it, its the valve cover gasket

What a disgrace, a four cylinder engine that should have plenty of room to work on yet garbage everywhere just to get access to the starter. No wonder Mitsubishi struggles to sell cars in America.
