My manifold came in today like speedy fast! So I soaked my bolts down with PB blast and will install tomorrow. Great informative video!! Now I know what to do on top of what I already knew. Extra advice! 👍
what a great description of how to do it, what i did was write down all the screws and bolts i need and went to home depot and got them new so my mechanic can replaced all of them with new ones and to a auto part and order the lower gasket i need to replaced that one too thank you great video

P0431 absolutely has to be the front catalytic right? No chance that it would be the back one closest to rear of car??? Asking because I had my front one replaced a few years ago as a precaution and now I'm getting this code once or twice a month. I scanned it with my diagnostic tool today and all the 02 sensors are passing but does say catalyst bank 2 fails.
Wait, all four O2 sensors are at the front of the car? There aren't any underneath in the middle of the exhaust system? I have a 2008 Galant and need to change the Bank 2 Sensor 2 but I'm just gonna replace em all but wasn't looking forward to crawling that far under the car.
Yo, does the new cats without the heat shield eliminate the tiny /lawn mower/weed wacker sounding engine acceleration? -I would do this just to make that sound go away. I inherited (COVID) a 2005 Galant and it is fun to drive but that sound is killing my pride.
Hey man I watch all your galant videos because I have the same car and have a question I recently had my timing belts and serpentine belt changed but now my serpentine belt squeals and I’ve even changed it from the gates to the continental quiet hog belt still squealing and also car sounds louder from exhaust manifold so I’m going to be changing out the gasket but any ideas on why the serpentine belts doing that and why the exhaust manifold sounded louder after getting timing belts changed? Also on the serpentine belt I’ve changed the old idler pulley and tensioner with all new parts same with timing belt used the complete kit with auto tensioner and new water pump
I’m having the same problem. Trying to find one that’s california complaint. My auto mechanic is trying charge me over 2 grand stating I have two separate catalytic converter. Replace one and then we ran it. Got another code stating it’s the second one and my o2 sensors are good.

Jaleel Phillips thats wussup. Im from Largo. the site wont let me link it but just go to Rockauto.com and punch in your vehichles info. I get most of my parts from there. the part cost $255 and took me around 3 hours to install
In Maryland they have self test emissions station. Instead of an actual person doing the test, you drive up and hook the data link connector to your car and the Kiosk machine will scan your cars emission related data. If you pass the test, it prints out your papers right there on the spot
