I feel bad for the driver as much as I do the parents, he was just trying to have a good time and have everyone enjoy the show. Now he has to deal with the guilt that he’s the reason a little boy died.
Jacky Boi no I meant the driver and it’s no ones fault I’m just saying that he probably blames himself for the kids death and I’m sure the parents probably blame themselves to
That One Sentient Donut again, it's not the parents fault, yes they probably live in grief if there sons death, but they do not need to blame themselves as thy couldn't have predicted this would've happened. Also it's not the drivers fault either, he couldn't have predicted the truck would have broke down towards the end of his run, he probably feels bad for the family, but again, doesn't need to live his life thinking he was the reason an innocent child died. I blame the truck tho
Wow, this is the same seating section I was in when I saw it happen. It's, erie, I was only 14 years old at the time but I watched it unfold from the exact same POV. Truly sad, something I will never forget.
It's the bracket that holds and protects, it also prevents the driveshaft (incase the driveshaft breaks) from flying into the crowd it also connects to the rear axle. It was the pit crews fault for not checking the truck over completely before it went back out.
@@ZWTC682 he didn’t get decapitated, he was pronounced dead the next morning. I do believe he was struck in the upper chest/neck/head area though. Another man was struck, but thankfully, he lived.
@@robertferguson7487 yeah well hes not guilty. No one could have predicted that the piece of metal would fly directly at that kids head. So it was a freak accident. Also I don't think its logical to send a monster truck to jail when there not living creatures. If the driver WANTED this to happen then yes plz Jail him.
Oh shoot it's been 10 years since still missed a truck but I know accidents do happen but still my prayers go out to the family I'm sorry for their loss
Rest In Peace to the little boy, and I feel horrible for his family, Gary, and Kelvin’s team. This had nothing to do with them, only mechanical failure. The truck should’ve been shut off, and for those of you who disagree, Hot Wheels was shut off when it had a driveshaft issue at WF6. I am also curious if this event was going to be aired on television or not, prior to this tragic accident.
In retrospect I find it kinda creepy that I went to the show that happened the day after the child's death (I went to every show in Tacoma from 2006-18).
I feel more bad for the driver of the truck. He probably just wanted to put on a show and have fun. But he has to face the guilt of killing a young boy for the rest of his life.
This happened at the friday show. My friend was there but was sitting on the opposite side of where the kid was killed. I went to the saturday show and natural high wasn't there.
@@MonsterAviation Yeah I guess I didn't think of that, but I mean I'm a fan of grave digger, Max-d, wild flower, monster energy, avenger, VP mad scientist and the Lucas oil crusader so yeah I guess ur not wrong
1:32 That’s when it happened, some piece of metal on the stadium ground was launched up hight right at that moment and struck our 1 and only spectator, Sebastian Hizey! The medical crew was dispatched for the 6 year old boy and the next morning, he was pronounced dead. I feel bad for the whole family because they went out for a great truck show only to realize that it cost them their son. I also feel bad for the driver because now he has to face guilt for the whole incident. :(
@@robertferguson7487 nah fam, it's should be something short that you can fit onto the fiber glass body of a monster truck They should call it: natural killer
@@GraveDigger35 looks like the ring that holds the driveshaft to the rear axle. My guess would be that point crew didn't notice that part wasn't right. When it was being fixed for problems earlier in the show.
Natural High suffered a transmission failure, after it was damaged jumping some cars during this freestyle run (which was the reason of the sparking under the truck). A driveshaft loop flew off when the transmission broke for good; it crashed into the grandstands, where it hit 6-year old Sebastian Hizey and a 40-year old man sat nearby. The man survived, but Hizey unfortunately died the next day. As a result, coloured driveshaft loops became mandatory. Natural High did not take part in the remainder of the meeting, and it was then permanently retired with immediate effect under that name. It later returned to racing as Fired Up, Western Renegade and finally, Sheer Insanity.
I've heard that this crash caused the crashes of Captain's Curse, Nitro Circus and Grave Digger to be censored on TV in America (the last 2 have the onboard cam)
yes a 6 year old boy died and i feel bad for his parents but i agree with a lot of people its a freak accident it couldve happened to anyone just happened to be that little kid its a sport and with any sporting event you go to theres always the risk of dying even football or basketball you never know when a riot might break out
wow that was realy good breakdown oif how it happend good job i was trying to se when it happend but i read ur comment after i watched it thanks again n to the little boy R.I.P. little man !!!!
Killer monster truck? C'mon man, this was a tragic accident and the driver of this truck had no idea that was going to happen. Why don't you post videos of fatal car crashes and point out whih driver killed which driver? Rediculous.
ok but many time drivshafts break that loop must of been thrown by the truck throwing it into the stands ive been to many monster truck shows n they usually shut the truck off whne driveshafts breaks do to the truck not being able to stop when doing a stunt or something
If I'm correct , technitions didn't take as many precautions as they do nowadays back then. I've been to shows where if even the slightest problem occurs, the truck is shut off until either the drivers run is over, in they can start the truck without encountering a problem. Back then trucks could be going crazy all over the track and about to fly into the stands and the techs wouldn't consider shutting down the truck
@@jackyboi5621 and now it's ridiculous. tie rods, sway bars on the truck still, not unsafe. can't be compared to drive shafts, over safety ruins shows now.
@@____Johan____ what's sad is that based off how many monster truck related videos I watch, most people think the debris came off a crush car the monster truck hit at the beginning of the show smh
No one recorded the boy getting whacked with a piece of metal, you just see the debre fly off the truck and then you hear about how the boy died on the nightly news
@@DirtBikeBoy5ive It just feels wrong to keep recording when something terrible like that is happening, obviously it’s good if it’s a crime that needs proof.
@@NotJustGabe woah woah woah. Don’t say you don’t care about the kid man that’s dark! Yes the track is cool, but don’t say you don’t care about the kid!
They should've known a rotating wheel can sling a piece of metal. They should've put some sort of safety barrier up in case of that. Now they're afraid to use cars for this reason.
The piece that broke off wasn't from a car it was from the truck itself. Theirs a picture that appears to be a part of the rim from the truck. My guess is that the crew for the truck over looked it and ran the truck even though the truck had problems since the start of the show. Plus these aren't the actual monster jam trucks those are the ones that run at smaller arenas and smaller promotions.
Correct the piece that flew off was part of a bracket that prevents the driveshaft from flying off the truck. It was the pit crews fault for not catching it being loose before the truck went out
