We need more videos like this. Don't comment much but wanted to say good job. This video literally saved me. I was stranded and I swapped the relays and the truck started. Thank you for the detailed explanation of what each part is and or does.
Thanks dude. I didn’t even need to change the fuel pump relay. You just taught me the main efi fuse which is what I was trying to pinpoint. Great explanation
I know it’s been a while since you put out this video, but I hope you see this and can guide me in the right direction. I’m swapping a LS motor into an 07 Tacoma and am having trouble finding where to connect my LS fuel pump wire. I’ve tried several locations with a black/red wire w no luck. Should I be looking for a blue wire so as to also energize the fuel pump and c/open relays? Thank you!
I have an 07, which is a second Gen like this. Nice to know where the fuel pump fuse is under that coin drawer, but do you know which is it’s wire? Trying to determine which it is to splice into it...
about three times in the past 2 months 2008 toyota truck tacoma will not start wait a couple of minutes try still won't start. try again. and it starts. other wise truck runs fine. thanks for your help
Which relay is the one that turns the pump on when you initially turn the key on? My 2008 Tacoma will crank over but not start, the pump doesn't come on when ignition is turned to on, as soon as I quit cranking the pump will kick on and it starts like a champ. I have been just bumping the starter to get the pump on then starting the truck. I have replaced both the relays from the video, still have the same problem.
@@HikerHansen No, I am still just bumping the starter so the pump comes on, after digging around the forums, it appears the pump isn't supposed to come on, the pressure is supposed to be held but is bleeding off after the engine is shut off. I haven't tried to figure out what is allowing it to bleed off yet.
