This is why I think Kiffin may do well with Ole Miss. He actually did a good job in his one season at Tennessee despite the 7-6 record. He played Florida tough on the road and damn near beat Alabama on the road. They were very competitive. Something Tennessee hasn’t been since.
Ole miss is going to beat Alabama at Tuscaloosa next year 2021 and lane kiffin is going to be the first assistant to beat nick saban and next year is going to be our year go rebels 2021 is our year
Bama had a 9 point lead with 1:20 left in the game, but came within one play of losing it. Very uncharacteristic of Bama, especially considering the offensive stars they had.
Gotta remember Lane Kiffin is a dang good coach. His 'Ole Miss teams have almost beaten us twice in three games despite having a lot less talent. This Tenn team had some talent on it. We did play pretty uncharacteristically tho.
I’m sorry but that kicker would’ve been off the team that night. The way he paused and walked up to kick you don’t do that shit 😂 especially against Alabama.
I got Mount Cody's autograph the next year following that play that's born legends some have it and some don't you wanna talk about the dynasty if that block hadn't of been made Bama's Dynasty wouldn't be anything like it is today.
Actually, Kiffin would have probably been fired for recruiting violations. He brought in a lot of sketchy, thug-type players, most of whom had to be run off by Derek Dooley the next year.
@@aydentalbott9509 You need to go back and refresh your memory. Kiffin signed some thugs out of Florida who began committing crimes and getting into trouble as soon as they got to Knoxville. Dooly had to get rid of them.
I was at that game drove down from Knoxville , Daniel Lincoln pulled a leg muscle in warmups and didn’t say anything until after the game , 3 bad field goal kicks , There should of been a penalty at the end of the game
For what? Terence Cody taking his helmet off? That wouldn't have changed the outcome. That would have been a dead ball foul after the blocked FG, when Bama would have had possession. If the refs had called it, Bama would have still been on offense, and they would have taken a knee and ran the last couple of seconds off the clock
@@randyjordan5521wrong, it was 3rd down and the kicked ball never crossed the line of scrimmage, therefore Cody’s foul was a live ball unsportsmanlike conduct foul, assessed against Alabama, Tenn would have re-tried the kick from the 14 yard line
@@sarry28 LOL. It's kinda weird that you're bringing this up three years later, but I'll inform you that Tennessee's FG try was made as time ran out. By the time Cody took his helmet off, time had run out and the game was over. So there was no penalty for taking his helmet off. That play is on RU-vid. I suggest that you watch it and note than when Cody took his helmet off, time had run out.
@@sarry28 LOL. You didn't go and look at the play again, did ya sport. If the clock has run out, there is no penalty for removing one's helmet. Every Bama player on the field could have removed their helmets, and there would have been no penalty. THE GAME WAS OVER.
I assume you mean because Cody removed his helmet, but you would be mistaken. The ball crossed the line of scrimmage so it would be a dead ball foul and Bama would get the ball anyway and they could just take a knee. Gary Danielson would like to think he knows everything, but he does, in fact, not.
