Yeah I really like how the entire game is based on honor and calling your own fouls. I like how there's no real penalty, and it doesn't really matter, because the players are cool enough to say "oh yeah my bad I'm really sorry." and then Resume play. Lately, the pro sports have some players (not all, but some) that are so intent on destroying the other team that they dont care much for the honor code. However, Frisbee just became pro, so idk how that will affect gameplay and the players
@highintensityairsoft Two major points: A) People don't play Ultimate with their dogs. That's just a form of fetch, and most Ultimate players cringe at the thought of a dog biting their discs. B) Okay, you have that the army sometimes uses airsoft for training exercises, but ya know what quite a few people in the army do for fun because it is also good cardio and conditioning? Yeah, that's right. Ultimate.
@highintensityairsoft I played both those sports in high school, I played ultimate as a side. Now I play Ultimate as my main sport in college and can say it requires 10x as much running at much higher speeds than basketball or football. Not to mention how much more dangerous I think it is, but that's just an opinion. Really I don't care what your opinion on Ultimate is, you've obviously never even played it in a competitive league.
@evcarter It was certainly not a BAD choice for a song. I never understood why UV put in all those crappy demo version of Cut To Pieces by The Turn. They eventually made a video that had the real recorded song but they made a few that sounded like crap. This was the first 09 highlight I saw and I loved it. The only bone I had to pick was it didn't show team and score updates with the goal etc... But that is only because I am from Australia and can't keep up with all the changing jerseys!
what an awesome feeling that must've been 3:13 Ultivillage is getting a nice swagger to their graphics and overall product, the music choices need a lot of rethinking though. lion king ost? i feel there's music out there much more suitable to the pace and intensity of ultimate; especially a highlight reel. nonetheless, awesome video, thanks for the upload.
Does anyone else think that a frisbee catch harder to call than anyother sideline call? This is from just a ref or players on field, no replays. Because you know when a a football player has control or not but it just takes one or two fingers sometimes to catch a frisbee.
@dgub I don't get it either, it just damages the disc not to mention people do it know with sub average catches and plays. I just give it a gentle toss to the ground and act like i've been there. Plus im a youngin, don't worry when I coach other people I always tell the proper way to celebrate.
@amirm4000 Technically the guy could have called a foul but since they all went up for the same disk and the guy that knocked everyone over got the disk first it isn't really a foul. None of those guys would call it because they got skied pretty badly.
@Jontenn This is considered contact or limited contact, like basketball. Non-contact examples are golf, tennis, and volley ball. Full contact is rugby, football, wrestling. No refs. That characteristic is referred to as "spirit of the game."

@danieldubinsky oh, yes, I know. I'm not oblivious to that. It's just that Americans these days believe American sports are for some reason superior than all other sports. It's pretty annoying and close-minded.
@highintensityairsoft sure. albeit your hs players may be nerds the majority of ultimate players are normal people, lots cooler than those who need to shoot plastic guns and duck behind foam barricades to feel like a man.
@amirm4000 I was there. Zip (Chain Lightning - Purple) called a foul and was overuled by the observers as the majority of the contact happened after the Beau (Revolver - Red) caught the disc. Goal.
@evcarter idk, i like this music choice here. Its really majestic and brings up the spirit of the game. He lyrics are suitable too. Its better than a lot of rock/rap songs that are in other vids.

Yea, I agree with you there... You know what I dont like... is the higher level games they call way to many fouls.... Do you like the idea of no penalty for fouls? And no refs?
@FedorByRape Um. Games go to over 100 points in basketball. Highlight reels consist of a ball going through a hoop a bunch of times. What's your definition of repetitive exactly?
@thehandzofgod sure, its played by losers, at least all the kids at my school who can throw a frisbee are nerds and every one enjoys how they think there cool when they catch a frisbee
@skimmer538 idk lol why would I know I jsut love playing frissbee and comented on a insane catch and now people reply to me like I'm some sort of all knowing person...lol
@hydroshock56 The guys in orange are observers, they call ins and outs and can be called upon do help make decisions on calls on the field but are not referees.
1:10 One-handed layout for a hammer...I suddenly feel like a little less of a man after watching that and knowing I have never come close to pulling that off.
@haywhatsupdog hah, yeah, it stands for Boy Meets World. he looks straight up like one of the cast members of that show. he's a fucking sick player though.
