Don't feel too bad. I was 30 years old when I discovered Ultimate Frisbee and did not start playing in leagues or Club tournaments until 35 years old. I love Ultimate and have been playing in organized games for the past 7 years. If you join a local league you will learn the techniques quickly. Then when you get good, join a club team. This is truly the Ultimate sport for Spring, Summer, Fall. Then I love snow skiing in the winter.
it is super addictive. i've played a number of sports all through school and college, and this is the only one which has really gripped me and made me want to get really fit and improve. its a pretty exciting time for ultimate in the UK at the minute. there a ton more players and theyre better and fitter, there are more and more teams and they're getting more competitive year on year.
I've been playing rugby for 3 years and my friends just bought a Frisbee a few days ago. We started playing, we're even getting a school team started up. I like it just as much if not slightly better. Fun as hell!
me and my friends just started an "ultimate' club at our school and we already spread like wildfire we have everyone hooked this is the greatest sport ever!
This is such a great sport, I love it. At its best it's just as intense as football, just less contact. It takes a lot of endurance and you can't be afraid to lay out for a pass and get dirty.
Its true that not many people know about Ultimate, but its been growing rapidly. Last year someone in my school would not know what it is. Now almost everybody goes crazy when we play it in gym. Its also growing in numbers in Colleges
dude i beasted at this game today for 2 and a half hours with other people at my church it was so awsome i love the game so much and its really great excercise
Look at any competitive sport and when there's a score during gametime, does one player ever go to the other, nice shot or good effort. From my experience at the end of the game both teams come together, shake hands, chat and congratulate eachother...you dont get that sort of spirit in anyother sport. The sport is evolving and expanding, and it can't and won't stay a hippy's dream forever. players are getting better, fitness and training becoming more crucial and also the will to win. I love it
in this level of ultimate they've introduced observers who make decision on calls if an agreement can't be made between the two sides. not a bad idea when you get a heated contest...
To respond to all the people that say ultimate isn't a sport, I will say this, it meets all the requirements of a sport. Such as, Teams, centered around an item (a football for example), It requires running and/or jumping.
The minimum number of countries playing a sport for it to be considered by the IOC is 75. Ultimate has 49, so we're most of the way there. By 2028, it should be in the Olympics, according to the math. Ultimate embodies the spirit of the Olympics and it's an amazing, athletic sport.
Lol the last point there was a foul call you can tell by the closest guy in red raising his hand and hearing the boo's from the fans as the audio fades. Damn it, there are always one of those plays in Frisbee someone makes an awesome play then there is one guy who calls a foul.
ive never played frisbee in my life and im 24... i feel like ive missed out. also didnt know this was an actual sport, i just found out 4 minutes ago. i love how the frisbee fly's and the way the guy dives to catch it. i wanna do this
I love it! My borther in law had that DVD is amazing! he is at Praga right now at the WFDF WORLD ULTIMATE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS. LimpBuzzcut, easy to watch, hard to play it!!!!!
