for the future of MMM, I would still love if just every couple months you made a playlists of songs/albums that you've enjoyed (they wouldn't nescacarily be recent ones) as I would just love to have a way to be shown new music that wasn't served to me by an algorithm

Man, I totally get how MMM must be a tiring series, having to keep up with a bunch of albums and artists every month. That is why I admire so much the work you do, so even if you don't make it anymore, thank you so much. BTW, love the ideia of 5 to 10 min speaking about a album in particular and i really would love a DDD on more pop divas, or just woman in general, but most particular BEYONCE

Just want to add that your praise for Titanic Rising got me to not only listen to the album, but to allow an album to be both a slow burner and a banger in a context I haven’t allowed before. Present day, it’s one of my favorite albums of all time, and I’ve bought tickets to see her show as my first live concert ever. Just big thanks for what you do, man.

listing to Mic talk and realize that he really has a science/research approach of thinking about music and the discourse around it is wonderful. especially since its so obvious that his interest is coming from a place of passion and intrigue. Like seeing him not down come down too hard on either side of an argument, and instead taking in the bigger picture is just really refreshing!

The Bowie DDD is the primary reason I started listening to Bowie, and then the same happened with Pink Floyd and Queen. I’ve moved on to bands that have not (yet) been covered in a DDD like Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, Creedence, and Yes, and it’s been a lot of fun. Fleetwood Mac is probably next, and I look forward to future deep dives of classic bands, but I understand that’s just a part of what Mic does. Anyways, all the best!

Yeah I'm gonna need a Phoenix deep dive. I think their consistent quality of the past 20+ years while evolving their sound is really impressive. Their "status" is so interesting too because I feel like a lot of people forgot about them in the past 10 years or see them as a one hit wonder when they tour each album extensively to super passionate fans. I've seen them live 3 times and they have to be some of the best shows I've ever been to. Also would love to see a Brockhampton DDD after the final album comes out.

I saw King Gizzard play Lava a few days after the album was released. It was awesome! They also played the River, Road Train, Let Me Mend the Past, and the opening act, Leah Senior, was amazing as well. Fun fact, both Leah and Stu said "Yo, this place is haunted af" at one point during their performances. Kinda funny.

hey i just kinda wanna mention cause i feel like everyone should know this; youtube's 1080p kinda sucks, it's often highly compressed and makes everything very muddy. Even if you SHOOT in 1080p, if you can manage it, edit and export in 4k, or just export in 4k the higher bitrates make for a better 1080p sample and does better for preservation- plus it can increase detail even in lower resolution. Hope you catch this!

As someone who's not been able to stop listening to Anarchy, hearing that you enjoyed making the Chumbawumba DDD makes me feel great. I do plan on getting to their post Tubthumper stuff, but anarchy is almost like an emotional energy drink, Give the Anarchist a Cigarette and Enough is Enough are perfect bookends (emotionally part 1 of Rage is an outro and part 2 is a bonus track). I'm so glad Cool People Who Did Cool Stuff covered them too, and your video fits right between parta 1 and 2 of them.

As someone who enjoyed those MMM videos, I really appreciate the update!! I definitely think it was the smart move to just end the series outright, given your uninterest and the lack of success it seemed to bring. I (much like most of your viewers I'm sure) am pretty much down for whatever you make, as your various series formats and your ability to display an unbelievable amount of insight in music creation are the real draw of your channel. Plus you just come across like a real genuine guy. I'm really curious to know more about your perspective on music criticism and its future as a source of music content online. Definitely do a video on the future of music criticism, I’ve also noticed a shift in the way music has been discussed and how reviews are consumed. I think reviews of new music is gonna be more reactive and feel more like summarized bullet points that overview an album as a whole while the more long form and detailed analysis reviews are going to be reserved for reflecting back on older albums that have been out for a while
