I test drove a 323i and you're right the engines does feel gutless unless revved a fair bit. The engine is silky smooth though and it idles pretty much silent.
N52B25. It is found in Canadian and Europe markets. 2.5L DOHC I6 dual VANOS and VVT with lift. 2005-07 models had 174hp & 170lb/ft, post 07 models upped to 200hp and 180lb/ft. Not a great engine (feels gutless unless revved), but it's a good start for BMW's lineup.
you won't find a smoother performer in an inline 6. The 2.5L is the most reliable too . If you look at older BMW's they have less power and the new turbos have 180hp. The last of the straight 6 2.5L have 200-21 depending on the model compared to the 3.0L. The 323i models are only in Canada, In the US and the rest of the world they are badged 325i.
Have the canadian version 07 323i. Could not have asked for more out of a car; driving exp, reliability, let alone from a "shitty old bmw" - as described by 13 year old on the internet.
Pretty much bmws are made to perform at high speeds beter than low speeds. They are highway cars not urban driven. Thats why they perform beter on highspeeds.
Hi pal! I was wondering if i can use this video in my e90 acceleration and sound comparison video.I will tag you in the credits with your name and link.Hoping for your consideration😊
DS doesn't make much difference. It just holds the shifts longer and changes the torque lock up to allow engine braking. Once you push the pedal to the kick down switch, the car will accelerate fast as possible
Personally, the acceleration feels "quicker" in DS, and it really "launches" compared to normal D. Glad to see this video, now I know the limit (231). Btw, never knew there was a "LIMIT" caution/ warning, and you got it quite soon...at 120
Guys, i need help! I'm going to buy a used 320i 2008 model U guys see that triangle next to the KM this car has driven? what's that triangle, does it mean that there's a fault in the car? please reply!
