Thank you so much I almost damn near busted my fingers trying to do it the way another guy did on yt. Yours was so simple to the tee and helpful! Ty ty
Took us almost an hour! Car is 13 years old with orginal bulbs. Using the right tool helps. It took a long time to wiggle the unit out with two of us. I also used a flathead screwdriver to get the clips away and pop the blue part off. Other than that it was easy peesy.
Thank you for this video. I'm actually glad that you had trouble getting the bulb in because that let's me know in advance that it could happen with me. Also, can you include the specs on the replacement bulb?
Thank you for the video. It was very helpful. I couldn’t really understand the directions in the Cobalt manual. I also had trouble screwing in the cup into the headlight housing and I am not sure if it was done correctly. It seemed to be the tabs matched up good enough. I really do not know how to test if it is good enough. The 2009 Cobalt was bought in December, 2010 and my sister drove it , until June, 2015.
My headlight was so tight I was going to go to shop to take it out and remembered how bumps are taken out of body I used a rubber plugger against light and pulled along with screwdriver under bottom to get it over rim. In old days just open hood and replace bulb without the hassle.
Next time, leave the bulb in its housing to unclip the blue socket, then twist the bulb housing to remove the bulb, it makes it easier so you don't have to muscle the clip apart.
