Dude, you just saved me a crap ton on a mechanic. Thank you so much for the video, it was easy to follow, and very descriptive, which is what I needed.
Thanks a lot for this video! I found it BEFORE changing the bulb on my 2007 Cobalt LT so I could have some idea of what I was getting into and I had a second look during the actual swap as I didn't remember what you said or showed about how to free the old bulb from its connector. You make the entire process easy to understand and predictable.
This guy did an amazing job at showing this off, not too fast, not too slow. Multiple angles, real time motion and paused actions for context, and tips so you don’t have to redo something.
Excellent video! 2nd time I used it. 1st time to replace burnt out bulb and just now to replace both headlights to get rid of condensation in drivers side. They fit tight but with your clear instructions we got the job done. Thanks Chevy!
Wow, I wish I could like, then unlike this video just so I can like it again! Superb demonstration. I really appreciated all the different camera angles and closeups. Really made each step very clear. Thanks also for your tips at different stages. I'm feeling confident for this DIY thanks to you.
You are a life saver. Thanks so much for the simple clear instructions. My first time pulling out the entire headlight and it went perfectly smooth and went right back in place without a hitch.
Thank you for your excellent demonstration. My low beam headlight went dead on my 2009 Chevy Cobalt and needed this video to show me how to put in new one. Now it's fixed and figured I'd drop a line expressing my appreciation..
Just did it! You did a great step-by-step presentation. I only did one bulb today due to time constraints...I will get the other done tomorrow! Great post.
Great instruction video, well done. You helped me get to a project I've been putting off for weeks! One thing I'd like to mention. The gaskets that came with my bulbs were just a tad too large to fit so I cleaned off the old ones and reused them. Worked like a charm.
This is very well done. Clear and concise instructions, good clear video, and these instructions worked like a charm on my '09. Thanks! Also, thanks for mentioning popping the clips out of the black plastic for wiggle room and pushing down on the bumper a little bit to get the headlight out. I worry I might damage something when I work on my own car but that advice reassured me to apply just the right pressure to get it done.
Thats awesome..im so glad u were able to get it done..yea i always try to add any tips and tricks that may help..thank you for watching and the support🙂
Where was this video 10 years ago when we first had to change the bulb in my cobalt? I remember it being a huge pain then, but this video was so simple, step by step with explanations - took us longer to locate the proper tools in our toolbox than it did to actually get the old bulb out and the new in! Thank you!
Thnk you SO much for this! As a woman, I am always reluctant to ask a mechanic to do minor repairs because I know many of them will try to take advantage of women. This video allowed me to easily change the headlight bulbs on my daughter's car this morning by myself and avoid the cost and frustration of going to a mechanic.
Im so happy to be a part of helping u replace ur daughter's headlight bulbs🙂 and great comments like these motivate me to keep doing what im doing cause i love helping others.
I'm definitely not a "car guy," but this video made me feel like one. It definitely wasn't as easy as you made it look, but it wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought it would be. This video helped make the process quick and, relatively, easy.
Thanks for a great tutorial ! I just finished replacing the headlight bulb on my 2007 Cobalt. Even though I watched it several times before I started, I still hit snags. But all I had to do was to come back and start watching your tutorial again to find the answer. Good work !
Thank you sooo much! I am very grateful for your videos. I have no boyfriend/husband and my dad lives far away, so a mechanic was going to be my next choice until I stumbled upon your videos. If you have more videos like this I will definitely subscribe!
Thank you so much:) these comments mean so much to me, nothing makes me feel better than being able to help someone save themselves money and avoid a mechanic:)
This is the third time I've changed the light bulb on my 2006 Cobalt each time I have looked at a RU-vid because it is just a good idea. This is the FIRST time I have seen someone remove those two clips to "give you more wiggle room" at the very beginning of the video. It made removing and re-installing the unit sooo much easier thank you! Now if only the parts book listed the proper bulb I'd already be finished hahaha
@@backyardchevy328 No,my first hint was when I took the white blinker light out and noticed the one I bought at the big box store was amber. The voltage was different too and it would not work so I'll just take it back with the old one in hand.
Thanks for the help. I just changed a headlight for my 2006 Cobalt. Normally a first time is difficult with a lot of unanticipated issues, but it went smoothly.
Hola. Thank you. I am a female that does not have a boyfriend yet and will try to do this on my own. Due to your super clear and the different camera angles. I think it will all be well. Girl Power.
Thanks man, got the passenger side first, took me like ten minutes( I had some trouble with it) then went to the driver side, took me five minutes. Very clear
Thanks this helped me out a lot! He didnt put in there is 3 things on the side of the bulb you need to make sure is lined up if your having problems getting the light bulb into the hole!
Same here. I couldn’t figure out if the rubber ring sat on top of the cylinder or was supposed to be pushed in. I changed both bulbs tonight I think actually one is in and one is on top. Both sides retailing clips went on though. Stupid rubber ring things were a huge pain. But helped once I saw the grooves to line up. This was a much better video than whatever one I watched last time I tried to change the bulbs. Getting those push pins out changed everything!
Great tutorial. One thing though, on my daughter's car the bolts that held the assembly in place could only be removed with a socket and not a phillips screw driver.
