2010 Chevrolet Equinox LT
This Equinox has the entry 184 HP 2.4L DOHC 4 Cyl that's paired to a 6 speed auto.
IDK why but there was this rather ugly noise coming from the after it warmed up. Seemed like it was coming from the belt drive area. I would definitely skip an Equinox with this engine & go the the 3L V6 instead.

Saddened That So Many People Dissed This Car. It Has Flaws, All Cars Do, But It's Dependable. My Mother Owns An 11' LT1 FWD & I Just Got A 12' LS AWD. I Love My Car. Now, My Next Car Will Be A Jeep Compass IF I Don't Get Another Equinox, As For Now The Equinox Is Doing It For Me. I'd Wanted One Since It Redesigned In 2010.

i like the hard plastic dash because i owned a pontiac grand am and it had a fake leather dash that warped pretty bad. So i dont know what else would be a good material.

It is much better than the previous gen 2005-2009 Equinox. Despite being built with your typical GM quality, it's a good little crossover.

It was kind of hard to tell with the camera, but was the steering wheel just dirty, or was there material chipping off of it? If it was indeed chipped, I wonder if other GM steering wheels like that are wearing the same way--and there are a lot of those out there now

Actually I like this one, the Honda Pilot I occasionally drive around is also very cheap-whole dash is hard touch and there are sharp pieces. I am disappointed that they didn't keep what they had going with the civics and the acura mdx. If this thing has as good a ride as the malibu while retaining acceptable handling, I'd like it.

Brady Mckendre As explained in the video, those are your upshift & downshift buttons which allows you to manually shift / choose the gear that you want. In order to utilize them, you slide the shifter into M ( M = Manual ) which is all the way down. With that setup, it saves the automaker space because it would look ugly & stupid if they had listed P, R, N, D, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 beside the shifter. Keep in mind this Equinox has a 6 speed automatic. Some cars out there even have 9 speed automatics, so utilizing a manual shift mode of some form brings simplicity to the looks & function of the shifter.

It looks like a cheap partsbin GM. You were to easy on it. The engine was making unusual noises, the interior creaked, and the buttons looked worn. I won't even begin on how nasty those seats had gotten and how hollow the door sounded. The escape is so much more solid.

The Engines Are Bulletproof As Long As She's Taken Care Of. I'd Definitely Recommend A 2013 - 2015 Though Just To Be Safe As She Does Have An Engine Issue On Fault Of GM.

Am I the only one who thinks GM has the ugliest sounding 4 cylinders? Some family members have one of these and I thought it sounded like crap on cold start. Same with the malibu rental we had and when pushed it just sounded sick and tired!

I never understand why people buy these things. It's just your typical cheap, artificial, government motors issued rental car. very little style, reliability, feature content, etc. It's a cheaply made, plastic-y, unreliable, heavily-depreciative transportation box. that's it. I would even say this is the worst compact crossover on the market yet so many people spend their hard earned money on them and I don't understand it. If you want to buy strictly American why not go for the Ford Escape, or shit even the Dodge Journey is better than this. Those cars offer better quality, affordability, personality, reliability, etc..and they aren't built on taxpayer dollars.

bokkey45 Are you crazy the Equinox has gotten rave reviews by major publications for styling and improved MPG That's why huge numbers have have chosen the Equinox for superior exterior and interior styling and class leading MPG performance in its class! That's why you see so many of these on the road with outstanding styling and major technical improvements many owners state the Equinox is the best vehicle they've ever owned.

Traditional Values Wow. You sound like you work for Government Motors. The Equinox does not have "outstanding styling". In fact, the first time I saw one out on the road I thought it was like a 2000-2005 model year SUV. The Equinox is not in any way up to 2015 standards. Just look at an Equinox and compare it to a Hyundai Santa Fe or a Mazda CX5. It's bland as hell. The interior looks every bit as cheap and plasticy as the exterior. Mazda CX5 offers sporty handling. Ford Escape offers a compliant ride and sporty handling loaded with nifty customizable features and options. Hyundai Santa Fe offers an amazingly stylish, value packed car with luxury amenities at a cheap price tag. Honda CR-V, Toyota Rav4, and Nissan Rogue all have resale value, reliability, and practicality on their side. What the hell does Equinox have to offer? Cheap plastics? GM recalls? Shit reliability? Poorly executed craftsmanship? No thank you...
