We bought a 2024 honda CR V hybrid. Best car we've ever owned

I bought a 2023 Telluride X-Line in January of last year. It has 15,327 miles as of today. My Telluride has been flawless! Drove it from St. Simons, Georgia to Bozeman Montana last Fall, and it handled beautifully. I also have a bulletproof 5.7L V8 Tundra, but the gas mileage sucks for 1500+ mile road trips. Sorry you’ve had so many issues. I love my Telluride

@@Sassyyorkie Sassy, you won’t believe it, but today, I got a recall (my first) about the parking brake on my Telluride. Said it’s a “software update.” 🤷🏼

@@saberamuna104 I bought my Telluride brand new in January 2023, and haven’t had any issues whatsoever, not even this “parking brake” recall that came in the mail today. I keep cars for a long time, as long as they don’t become headaches. My 2008 5.7L V8 Tundra was purchased brand new in September 2008 with just 33 miles on the odometer. It’s got 133,941 today. Best most trouble free truck I’ve ever had. I have a 2003 Miata too (British Green with Tan leather interior) that’s only got 63.000 miles. For a “weekend fun car” like my Tundra, it’s been bulletproof. We shall see how the Telluride holds up. If it starts giving me headaches, I’ll sell it, but so far, I love it. It’s an awesome “long trip” suv.

Toyota and Lexus hybrids are great.

Some Toyota's suffered high oil consumption from new. We had three of them in my family.

AFAIK, VW solved the oil consumption issue.

My son had an Audi A4 with high oil consumption. He said that manufacturing engine tolerances were increased to lessen friction and give better performance figures on paper. The downside? Higher oil consumption. These bastards are unconscionable...

excellant comment . back here in uk , had my eye on a new released march 2022 nissan model (so no discounts ), window drive away price was 27/ 28 thousand british pounds ,.jump forward 2 years , same model and spec has a 32/33000 list price , so a uncomfortable 5000 rise in less than 2 years ouch.

I think you are not updated with the current vehicle market! Go for the price checking with the rivals. Nissan and Mitsubishi are the worst, cheapest and poorest in the market both for performance and luxury. If you do have budget limitations then LUXURY vehicles are not for you 😢

Went to nissan dealer recently, the quashkia 1.5 hybrid model in mid range with a glass roof pack was 36 k British pounds plus . Due to a tweaked model arriving in a month or two, which will probably be only a front grill, light and bumper and a remodeled back light , bumper tweak and maybe a slight improvement on interior the price now for outgoing model has been slashed by over 20% . So those on the fence since 2022 due to previous price who like the current shape/model can now get a much better deal on the dealers current holding stock .

Honda like Subaru need to urgently think out of the box and DROP that CVT crap. Also offer enough models then maybe it would not suffer like it is. CVT is dealbreaker and when gluing head gaskets as seals.

Toyota want you to buy a Lexus to get insulation.

The Corolla Cross was very lackluster for me. Rented one recently and was very disappointed with the engine performance and cheap interior. The cargo space was decent though, and it had wireless Android Auto / Carplay.

Subaru CVT's are the same as Toyota. Have never had problems with any of mine. My 24 Crosstrek Sport has a key fob and push button start. The 2.0L engine is a little underpowered but still adequate. My sport has the 2.5 and gets up to speed on the highway in plenty of time and I can pass no problem. Nothing on google about inadequate cooling of the passenger side firewall cylinder. I believe you're just a Subaru hater and not objective.

​@@soulknight89 it sounds like you had less success. Too bad. After Toyota, Ford has had some of the highest rated quality programs and that was reflected in those wonderful Explorers that my wife had.

Rav 4 has same hybrid drive as Lexus UX250h. Both are excellent.

Honda is having head gasket and fuel dilution problems on the 1.5T in their vehicles including the CRV.

@@moejr1974 Yes if you make short trips constantly. Change the oil every 4000 miles. I work for Honda adn have a Civic that is effected by this. I see them come in for people who are Not changing their oil by time or mileage. Head gaskets are from 2001 to about 2005. We don't really see them unless you don't maintain them.

My Tiguan was able to get 720km for a tank of gasoline, not bad!!

We have a 2018 Tiguan with 140,000 km., doesn't use a drop of oil. Will buy another in 10 years or so.

Wow. My DIL just bought a Telluride & after reading your comments, HOPE it will be an exception to the problems you talked about.

You should still think about towing . Even if you never use the towing hook many modern car has foldable and most can be detached . Its an excelent utility feature that shouldnt be ignored .

I plan on towing horses but need to buy a truck, Dodge 3/4 ton has parts needed that are no longer made. Towing would be a plus! I am 76 yo. Husband is 6’2 big guy and has arthritis, needs a roomy car. We have dog crate that we need to put in back for our 13 yo and 1 yo cattle dogs. But the other video said Kia and Hyundai were all over the road on reliability and average at best.

Reason why I'm getting a Subaru Outback Wilderness. The AWD Subaru offer is the best. Just wish the Wilderness trims has locking diff or LSD.

I brought a 2024 Forester last year, it is great, never make me disappointed.

2015 CX5 now at 41,000 and never a murmer. Smooth, well appointed interior and controls. Runs so quietly and no lumpy suspension! A top grade vehicle, and after driving several other marques puts all VW related kit in the shade!!!

He's too opinionated, and responds poorly when contradictory information is presented. I certainly would NOT restrict myself to listening to him 'only'. However, at least he knows WTF he's talking about, even if he's wrong about particulars. That's in sharp contrast to this set of computer generated voices.

Huh...my 2015 Sportage is at 309.000 km (182,000 miles). Driven daily. Never had a wrench on the engine. As much oil comes out at oil changes that went in 10,000kms before. Would buy another...no problem.

I have a 2007 highlander with CVT. 250000 miles. NO SERVICE---NO REPLACE. your criticism of the toyota is TOTALLY unfounded.

Lexus scores VERY HIGH on reliability & looks. I don't remember ever hearing any owner saying anything bad about them.

Have owned a Toyota Tercel (1981 I think it was), stripped down version, amazing gas mileage, not one problem w/it, before that was my first car purchase, a 1972 Squareback VW. LOVED THAT CAR!!! I did have to replace something on it one time. I'd pile my nieces/nephews in it & take them to the creek in TN & in CA, Huntington Beach & we'd have a ball. I was the "cool Auntie". I now drive a 2021 Toyota Highlander Hybrid (bought in 2020), a little over 31,000 miles now. Comfortable/reliable. Love it.
