We have owned Toyotas since 1972 (Toyota Land Cruiser). Now my family still owns Toyota. I own a Toyota rav4 2014. I have 49,000 miles and still have 80% of original brakes. No regrets for all of us owning Toyotas. Next car will be a Toyota 4Runner. Remember EV cars have a low resale value. Actually I will never buy a used EV. We all agree Toyotas are just reliable. Now, Subaru has come along way and they are really good cars.

I bought a 2023 Telluride X-Line in January of last year. It has 15,327 miles as of today. My Telluride has been flawless! Drove it from St. Simons, Georgia to Bozeman Montana last Fall, and it handled beautifully. I also have a bulletproof 5.7L V8 Tundra, but the gas mileage sucks for 1500+ mile road trips. Sorry you’ve had so many issues. I love my Telluride

@@saberamuna104 I bought my Telluride brand new in January 2023, and haven’t had any issues whatsoever, not even this “parking brake” recall that came in the mail today. I keep cars for a long time, as long as they don’t become headaches. My 2008 5.7L V8 Tundra was purchased brand new in September 2008 with just 33 miles on the odometer. It’s got 133,941 today. Best most trouble free truck I’ve ever had. I have a 2003 Miata too (British Green with Tan leather interior) that’s only got 63.000 miles. For a “weekend fun car” like my Tundra, it’s been bulletproof. We shall see how the Telluride holds up. If it starts giving me headaches, I’ll sell it, but so far, I love it. It’s an awesome “long trip” suv.

Went to nissan dealer recently, the quashkia 1.5 hybrid model in mid range with a glass roof pack was 36 k British pounds plus . Due to a tweaked model arriving in a month or two, which will probably be only a front grill, light and bumper and a remodeled back light , bumper tweak and maybe a slight improvement on interior the price now for outgoing model has been slashed by over 20% . So those on the fence since 2022 due to previous price who like the current shape/model can now get a much better deal on the dealers current holding stock .

We’ve owned a turbo Kona for 6 years with ZERO issues. On the other hand, over the years, both our Subaru’s had engine failures because the passenger side firewall cylinder is not adequately cooled. Common-ask around. Also, Subaru is years behind on technology advances. For example, they still haven’t adopted a key fob. Poor performing CVT transmissions and under powered engines are the norm. Exhaust pipes run next to CV joints so rubber cover dries out and cracks forcing replacement. Heat shields are so thin they fall off with minimal effort from driving on snowy roads, etc. Toyota offers so much more.

Subaru CVT's are the same as Toyota. Have never had problems with any of mine. My 24 Crosstrek Sport has a key fob and push button start. The 2.0L engine is a little underpowered but still adequate. My sport has the 2.5 and gets up to speed on the highway in plenty of time and I can pass no problem. Nothing on google about inadequate cooling of the passenger side firewall cylinder. So, you are recommending 2024 Telluride, let's see: recalls 1: Vehicle Roll Away from Disengaged Driveshaft, A vehicle roll away increases the risk of a crash or injury, 2: Engine Valve Springs May Break. A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash. A hole in the engine block increases the risk of a fire. Edmunds is not a reliable source for vehicles. They accept money for advertising from different automobile manufacturers, therefor they are prejudice towards other manufacturers. Consult Consumer Reports instead!

Completely incorrect assessment about Explorer especially suggesting Kia over Explorer. Explorer is more powerful than the other competitors.

The only recommended SUV from this video I would consider is the Mazda. Mazda builds great vehicles. By the way, I drive a 2015 Jeep Trailhawk, and I wouldn't trade it for a RAV for or CRV. You can keep that crap!

I agree with the Mazda and Kia however the Subaru and Toyota both run CVT transmissions which often overheat when 4WD is used off road while the other two vehicles have a traditional automatic with zero issues. In addition the CVT transmissions cannot be serviced and must be replaced and are very expensive. Just saying.

Have they actually driven or tested these cars lol. This video is so misleading and so incomplete. Regarding VW they speak about gen 2 Tiguan and then show gen 3 images!!! Subaru is not even close in driving performance. There are so many more things to consider when buying one of them. Toyota and VW definitely are the best options, Mazda may be close. Numbers speak for themself.

Have owned a Toyota Tercel (1981 I think it was), stripped down version, amazing gas mileage, not one problem w/it, before that was my first car purchase, a 1972 Squareback VW. LOVED THAT CAR!!! I did have to replace something on it one time. I'd pile my nieces/nephews in it & take them to the creek in TN & in CA, Huntington Beach & we'd have a ball. I was the "cool Auntie". I now drive a 2021 Toyota Highlander Hybrid (bought in 2020), a little over 31,000 miles now. Comfortable/reliable. Love it.

Would never get a VW ever again! The amount of times something has broken in the car engine wise has cost me $20k combined over its life. Not to mention the resale value being almost nothing now. What’s the point in driving a car that feels great but makes you hold your breath for every ride in case the check engine light turns on…again!

I do have multiple VW since 20014. All of these are wonderful in performance! Never had any issues, never been to workshop! Very smooth to run, fun to drive and accelerate faster than any rivals. I would continue with VW for all my family and friends. This advertisements are biased and commercial for business competitors.

0:37 What do you mean '3rd Row'? The video shows someone getting into the rear seat. The video and audio are mismatched. 2:25 Audio stats 26 MPG, yet the video posts 36 MPG BEEP! Is this a BEEP! game show? Given BEEP! how many times BEP! I heard the 'Beep!' contestants hear when BEEP! they get an answer wrong, it sure sounds like a BEEP! game show. The computer generated voices, odd text (like 'oil consume', 'too comfy seats', etc., are amateur. Most importantly the content is amateur
