I drove some of these cars in the company I was in but with a 1.4 tdci engine. About 400.000km all together and I never had any problems or malfunctions. Excellent cars, with very good handling and fun to drive.
My parents had one for 3 years when I was little. Always had issues, and would often be at the workshop every 2 weeks because of how shitty it was. Now, my parents will never buy another Ford, and will probably also stick to Toyota.
I love how Fords handle on the road. Fun to drive, you dont want to stop and get off. Is addictive driving with Fords. I was considering Japanese small cars for the low consumption but at the end I want to enjoy driving and Fiesta is not that economic but the fun drive puts a smile in your face. That's even more important than few liters of fuel more or less.
Definitely. My first car was a Peugeot 107 (technically identical to the Toyota Aygo) it was cheap and frugal with fuel, but I didn’t enjoy myself whilst driving. It was loud and noisy on the highway, uncomfortable suspension. But it’s really cheap to own and drive. Wanted a bit more comfort so decided to switch to a Ford Fiesta 1.25L 60hp version.
But then you definitely need to know if the correct oil was always used and replaced in time, otherwise proof that the timing belt was replaced not too long ago while having the correct oil. Because the timing belt is in the oil. Works great if maintained well, but that can go wrong quickly once the wrong oil is used or not replaced in time
@@or2kr but so is every other car. No offense but I'm fed up with people constantly commenting this car is unreliable because of this, that car is trash because maintenance is rough blah blah... sucks to you all reliability disclaimers.
@@waduhek2568 it is something odd about the engine though. It is surely reliable if taken care of properly, it's just that not everybody owning one knows about it
@@or2kr well used cars at this age probably cost less than third of a new one, I think it's fair to take some risks for a bargain. If you don't like the sound of that - go buy a new car and get ripped off.
@@waduhek2568 where did I say that it is bad? I just mentioned a quirk that has a large influence on if the engine self destructs or not, there just aren't that many engines that require special oil with additives
@@irt3rdavenueel172 Not saying Fiesta is German or anything but production started at Ford's Cologne plant in August 2008 and in the same year they came up for sale in Western Europe. Whereas in the US (manufactured in Mexico) Ford didn't start selling them until 2010 as the 2011 model year.
This is what I'm driving (the 2 door version). It handles great, haven't had any major issues, but.. Mine won't go above 125, acceleration is pretty shitty.
@@bokichko @bojan pislevski apart from the acceleration, yes. It sticks to the road like a charm, no major issues. But if you want more speed and power, get a bigger engine than this.
@@mbz4652 well i had no Problems with it for now even tho i buyed it with 205 or 206K KM on it now it has 207800 or smth it needs around 7 litres per 100KM pretty ok for what i drive it
@@miraclearranger6438 You will only experience the extra hp in the 82hp version, if you rev it to the limit all the time. At normal rpm's, there is no difference at all. The extra hp comes first above 5k rpm.
@@Harryd06 hello my friend, i am thinking about buying the exact same version as the one you have. If you can, tell me how ur experience is with this car. How much is the combined fuel consumption? It would help to listen from some1 that actually owns it.
60 hp is just perfect for a car of this size/weight! I used to own a 2002 Fiesta and it got around town just fine. Just make sure not to race against anything that's not a Mk4 Golf 1.9 SDI..
15:08 lada 111)) The car as a whole is not bad, cheap. Despite its small size, it is quite roomy. From my experience, I will highlight two main problems of the car design: 1. Weak cooling system (cheap antifreeze came from the factory, apparently ethylene glycol corroded the elements of the cooling system); 2. The large rear overhang made the car not so much uncontrollable, but if it skidded, it was almost impossible to get it out of the skid, like some American from the late 80s
Good day Mr.Joe Black may i ask You Mr.Joe Black when You get the opportunity to do the test drive of ford fiesta - year 2000 , doors 5 , petrol (benzyna) . With Respect . Thank You Mr.Joe Black very much
All people in the comments, I like car, but I don’t know much this car. but I am a beginner driver. So I really like this car and i look for having one. The same as the video. It is a good car ? Take a note that I am a beginner not a automobile pilot. thanks
I have exactly this car but with 82 HP and 1.25 Liter. I Like this car but IT have Problems (at Mine) with water in Air duct. But many Fiesta have this Problem :/
Evidentemente es un coche para ciudad. Mi padre tiene el 82cv y va corto para todo lo que no sea conducción tranquila, éste en carretera y con ocupantes y aire acondicionado debe ser desesperante
