@BoysNoizeWIN When you aren't having fun on them anymore! It's dependent on personal taste, some people ride them to the core, others like to replace them at the first sign of coning. If you think you'll enjoy new wheels, then go for it.
@rosstafarianman Well any wheel will cone if you slide them a lot, but you can try some center set wheels. The cool thing about center set wheels is that once it starts to cone, you can flip them and de cone them. I have nersh candies and I flip them regularly, that helps them stay straight through out their life.
@TheToomuchswagg I rode fireball incendos for a while and I remember them leaving some faint thane lines during higher speed slides. Good luck with the neighbors! -Max W.
@pyscobrand They are both great for sliding. Abec 11's are a little smoother sliding and stims are easier to break loose into a slide. They both wear rather quickly (which is why they slide so well).
@KeymerBoarder I would say it is dependent on speed. The black zombies can be a little too slick and icy for sliding at higher speeds, so the board might slide out under you. That being said, they REALLY accel at slower speed sliding and are great wheels for learning some new slides. Fast sliding: white zombies Slower sliding/new to sliding: black zombies
@pmmets07 They do tend to wear faster than other comparable wheels, but they have one of the smoothest slides. Generally a smooth sliding wheels slides well because it sheds urethane.
@BullzEye14 "They're sideset with a radiused outer lip, and come slightly "deconed" to allow for those extra few slides. I have never ridden a Krypto before, but I've heard the Cult Classic uses the same general Krypto shape with a few improvements."
He tells no lies about the Beasts. Such a sick wheel, especially once you have the edge on the lip worn down. They make for a nice slide, my personal favorite.
@Houdini116 The Incendos are great wheels. I feel like they are an improvement over the Beasts. The slides are smooth but still have enough grip to get exit speed out of a pre-drift. In my experience they are grippier than the purp or yellow stims.
I love that you said "It slides like AWESOME!!" =D You also said "Take butter, put in in the microwave, and slide it all over the place". Awesome quotes for this. Glad you put the two wheels back in there.
@sk8skiboard3 You could probably get away with either without too much wheelbite issues. Most people enjoy the size of the 72mm freeride, but if you want more thane to burn through, the 77mm would be good for you.
@TheBrianmulhern1 Abec 11 freerides wear quite quickly compared to other wheels of the same genre, however they compensate with unbelievably smooth slides.
@NylundWhite Fireball beasts are a little bit drifty for downhill, but for that reason, they make even the lames runs more interesting. Maybe you have to better choose your line through a corner that you would normally grip no problem or something. they're also great for dialing in your technique on predrifts/drifts etc... think of them as practice tech dh wheels/freeride wheels.
@Andryanshivs They do wear fairly quickly. As a beginner, I would probably point you in the direction of the raceforms. They are less expensive, slide great and last longer. They are also slightly more versatile and have more capabilities in downhill.
@NelsonLongboarding @MotionBoardshop I don't skate nearly as hard core as you guys probably do, primarially because I live in florida. But I love them. Their absoutly amazing.
@almostbog We have spent some time on them and found that they are a good alternative to something like the zombie hawg or the purple stimulus. In terms of feel, I would compare them to a white zombie hawg.
@Littledrummerboy255 Those would all work well. There is no "best wheel for sliding" since "best" is all dependent on personal preference. If you are just learning to slide I would recommend Metro Motion wheels.
@sk8skiboard3 An 84a freeride would be great for freeriding, but not so hot for DH. I would go with something that has a foot in both worlds, fireballs, earthwing floaters, sector 9 raceforms, and Nersh Candies would all fit the bill, just to name a few.
Thanks sooo much, you guys have been a lot of help, ordering some bones for the park, and still deciding which wheels I want for cruising, I live in Chicago, there is no "downhill sliding" really, so whats a good wheel that I can slide on but still has grip, keep in mind these wheels will be on a krooked zip zinger, thank u fellow skaters!!
@hurksman just my advice, definitely go for some softer wheels. I would say the hardest you wanna go is 86a. Something like the Abec 11 flashback classic thane or the metro motion blue (I think they are 81a) wheels are great choices. But anything with a rounded lip and between 80a and 86a would be ideal.
If you're gonna do some kickflips and nose/tailslides, I suggest you get some 52-54 Bones SPFs, and some S9 65mm Butterballs for cruising (and it can slide pretty well)
@tuber433 from what i can see, the white/light blue board on the top left of the video is the rayne vendetta. or if ur talking about the black/blue board in the middle rack, thats the Landyachtz Evo i believe. not sure what the black/white board on the left side are though.
@ConcreteWave123 Fireball beasts have kind of a dead feeling urethane, which is great for slides but if you're looking for a urethane closer to reflex, I would look into some nersh candies or venom cannibals.
I'd personally suggest getting the Zombies Hawgs 82a. They hold their grip but can slide well too :) A review will soon be on my channel for this wheel!
men i have thse 82A sector 9s they are 81mm and they make me so happy... though im not sliding on them much seeing as how i put them on my lanyachtz evo
@bikeandlongboard You need classic thane. Classic freerides, flashbacks, noskools, etc. Check Abec 11's website to see which is classic formula urethane. 81a Zig Zags are reflex formula, if I'm not mistaken.
@sk8skiboard3 I'd say go for some in heats man, I'm riunning a set on my vendetta right now, great for carving, and when I wanna do some light dh I just flip my hangers and they grip well and slide like butta when you wanna, especialy after they're broken in.
@hollandben35 a grippy wheel won't necessarily help you with flip tricks (or any kind off freestyle for that matter) but the duro (hardness) doesn't really matter that much for freestyle, just go with any kind off duro that you feel comfy with, remember that a higher duro will make for an easier slide but not as smooth and controllable as a soft duro, Another wheel that I think should be quite good for you is the abec 11 70's flashbacks they have a very drifty urethane and make sick lines :)
@imakethetreesgrow you bet, onother wheel thats fairly cheap depending on where you buy them are abec11 freerides, they're a great sliding wheel and are kinda like abec11's version of the zombie hawgs. I just threw a set on my nemesis last week and once they broke in the slide like mad. hope that helpedas well. SHRED GNAR!
