Brilliant! Thanks for doing this video..AND doing it RIGHT. I've watched about 6 other videos before this one where people are hanging the calipers by the brake lines, don't (re)grease the sliding pins, etc. THANK YOU for showing the proper way to do this!

Engine mounts suck on that year but got to love them. I see people all the time under a car with just the jack, crazy. A joy as always Hector,

Thank goodness for people like you Hector! We just did front & back brakes on a Chevy, and the shop wanted to charge them $450 in just labor!

@@NoneMechanic101 That was a little cheap, but not bad at all. We charge $75 so we are very close in our prices.

Do you do all of the brakes first before you do the compression or can you do that same process for every one?
@NoneMechanic101
@NoneMechanic101 Год назад
I myself do both ways. I do the front brakes and the compressed them. Then I do the rear brakes and then compressed them

You can compress the caliper completely with a screwdriver. Just need a large flathead and a little elbow grease. Saves you a step.

Is it okay to push the fluid back up into the master cylinder
@NoneMechanic101
@NoneMechanic101 Год назад
When the caliper pistons are pushed in the fluid in the line goes up.
@john-bl9cm
@john-bl9cm Год назад
yes will that fluid then hurt the master cylinder?

might be a dumb question but at the end when you say you’re gonna press it to make it feel right are you pressing on the brake pedal inside the car?
@jheneaduvernay9205
@jheneaduvernay9205 Год назад
and do you do that when you’re down with one side or do you do both sides and then do it? First time doing this later tonight and just wondering
