2013 Civic model: For all those who have Hondas in the U.S., I believe I have found the solution. There is a button to the left of the steering wheel called the Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) button. I admit that I did not know the name of the button and googled it...LOL.... Anyway, this button is on the dash of the car .. under the ECO button. The icon has the image of a car and a "squiggly line" under the car image. The icon has the word "OFF" on it. While you are driving, hold down the button for several seconds (or keep pressing it). The TPMS message will then go away. I did this and it disappeared. Ironically, it came back on eventually. And I forgot about these steps. When I remembered, I did this again and the message is now gone again. Hopefully the TPMS message stays off. I will keep you posted. A couple of points: 1) I went around a round-about and hit a curb. It was minutes after this happened that the TPMS message came on. I believe one of the sensors in the tire probably was either damaged or jolted in some way to cause the message to come on after I hit the curb. If that's the case, I don't feel to replace the sensor or look into this issue deeper at this moment. I can check my tires the old-fashion way. I would rather get rid of the annoying message for now. 2)Be sure to check that all your tires are at the correct air pressure. Use one of those air pumps with a gauge that are sold at any auto store to check. I have one and it has been a very good tool to keep in the trunk. And also be aware that the TPMS message is different from the LOW AIR Pressure message. The TPMS message pertains to the sensor itself, while the LOW Air Pressure message is about the air pressure being too low in the tire. 3) Finally, just my two cents.... I appreciate this website, especially being this is a dealer...on another site, there was a person that continued to say take it to a dealer. I always believe if the problem can be remedied without the dealer or a professional technician's involvement, why not share the solution. So, thank you to this dealer for posting some solutions...although these solutions do not apply to cars in the U.S.

Thought it was worth noting because the video seems to suggest if the TPMS light is solid and not blinking you have a sensor issue or system issue. My light has come on several times over the last few years and I just air the oem tires up to 41psi (I just like them at that pressure) and drive it around the block. By the time I get back to the driveway it always resets. Just trying to help out.

I have enough air in all of my tires (32lbs) and it is still going off and I recently today even bought a new TPMS on the tire that's been giving me issues in the past and it's still on the dashboard. Did it disappear right away?

Can someone answer this question. How the hell do you disable the center light? I don’t mean turn it off, I mean disable it. My mother, who is elderly, is driving the other wall, and has become obsessed with the tires and the tire pressure and the stupid light. the tire pressure is fine. Obviously I believe it’s the sensor. She’s not going to get it replaced. And I’m tired of having to run an hour to her house when she calls me freaking out. Please for my sanity, how do you disable this thing permanently?

As far as I know, the sensor in one of the tires is bad and needs to be replaced, once replaced the light goes off after driving a short distance.

Auto parts should work, took mine to local shop, I imagined they went with just a generic.

2009 Honda Civic LX Automatic. I just bought 4 brand new tires and 1 brand new tire wheel. All installed professionally. And now the TPMS light is on and solid. Wont go off. What is the issue?

2009 si and changed stock rims to stock Acura TL rims and now tpms will not go away.. how do you keep the TPMS from staying on when you get after market rims??
@MicSustianevo

I would start with same method, you could just have a bad sensor that needs to be replaced.

I think you can remove them from old wheels and put them on the new ones but is recommended getting a new hardware kit with seals. You can try Tire Rack customer service at 1-888-541-1777 they deal with rims and tires.

The replacement of these sensors can cost from $79.95 - $149.95 per sensor. Over time, these sensors are subject to corrosion and may require replacement.

I offered a guy 50 bucks for 4 Honda oem ones on ebay. He said yeah. A guy from the Mexican tire shop can program them to my car for 20 bucks because he has the obd-II to do it with and he's my friend.
