I am a novice at this stuff and your video has been amazing in getting this all sorted on my wife's car. Seems the clip on the release bearing broke and was causing problems. Thank you for taking to the time to make the video. Is there any trick or alignment issues I need to be aware of when changing the clutch and pressure plate? Or does it fit quite easily?
Hola soy de chile,tengo exactamente el mismo auto rojo también. Necesito de su ayuda,me cambiaron el kit completo de embrague y resulta que ese mismo dia se siente como un rose entre metal y metal se le termina solo apretando el embrague,le revise nivel de aceite se lo cambie también después y el mismo que pedia el fabricante.y ahun asi se siente ese ruido como le mencionaba solo deja de hacerlo apretando el embrague. Necesito tu ayuda

Thanks for posting your videos. So do you only jack up the engine to support it and you don't need to jack up the transmission? You just take all the bolts out the transmission and it just stays attached on its own and then you pull it off? regards
@@WMCS Thanks for reply. I ran into a problem - all the bolts and plugs are out but the gearbox won't separate! Not even a bit. Has this ever happened to you? I tried prying with a chisel and screwdriver but it won't budge. I am worried the dowels are seized
ma m Yes it happens every so often. If you are sure all the bolts are out. The only way to do it is to get a fine chisel and wedge it in between the box. Working up to a fatter chisel. It will separate.
Sir have odd issue heavy clutch pedal but no slipping, the gear lever seems to stick in place and does not return spring back to central. Even neutral if push left stays between 1&2 odd please advise
Nice video. Can anyone say how to change the transmission oil? I guess the big screw on the lowest point (6:58) is to drain it. But where do I refill it? And how much? Until oil comes out again?

hello I'm replacing a clutch on a kia picanto 2006 my car has the g4gh engine. Is this the same engine on the i10 in video please.reason i ask is i cannot find kia picanto haynes manual.
Taijean Moodie it’s different. The last Elantra I did had a reverse pull clutch system.... and the fixings and mount are different. The Elantra has a mount bolted in the subframe. Which will take a little bit of patience to come off.
@@WMCS yeah I just found a service manual. My master cylinder pushes it. I'm having issues because no one has my year of car on RU-vid. 3rd gen from 2001 has the same motor but different mounting points for the control cables and master cylinder. Man i shouldve done my research for that before buying the dam thing :/
victoria Mcnally the thrust bearing becomes loose on the fork and if unlucky it slides at an angle causing it not to press on the pressure plate correctly.... and sometimes jams causing the pedal to go hard ... ricochet50BMG it’s not a mask as such. But rather protective gear as exposure to oil and clutch dust can lead to skin problems. And long hours outside the body will get cold very quickly without right clothing. Thanks for visiting the channel
