It would be nice if the sheikh repeated the question to the camera before giving his answer.

One thing that I dislike about this series, is that he assumes that everyone knows the stories, but the whole reason I am watching this series is because I want to learn these stories.

The verse 2:256 and many other verses of the Holy Qur’an are clear that there's no compulsion in Islam - you heard me right when I quoted the Qur’an - "NO COMPULSION" - and there is only one way to put it. If there were any, Allah swt would have told us so in the Qur'an. I believe this shaikh will quote the beginning verses of Sura Tauba and a few verses of Sura Anfaal in his defense of the “5th stage” of the da’wa but those verses are related to the enemy breaking solidified treaties and they are militarily confronted for that reason. However, in defense - only if the believers win the war imposed on them through any form of aggression - they can rule over them according to their own laws. That's the consequence for the enemy of losing war of aggression or breaking peace treaties, and that is, to face and accept the post-war conditions from the believers - (1) REPENT, (2), ESTABLISH SALAT, and (3) PAY ZAKAT. If they do that, they are safe, if not, the already-started defensive war will continue till they comply. It's that simple. However, notice you cannot INITIATE force to convert anyone. That would be a clear violation of the Glorious Qur'an and exceeding limits set by it. Also note that this option of conversion (three condition I mentioned above) is far, far better than the alternate - mass execution, that’s what happened in the history of the communist countries, like Russia and China). This shaikh is conveying a very wrong message in the form of the "5th stage" - i.e., use military against those who RESISTS the da’wa efforts. He openly preaches military confrontation in his self-categorized “5th stage”. Ironically, he quickly goes over to emphasize the 4th stage after describing the 5th stage because he knows that his giving his lecture under a few watchful eyes. I am sure if you give him a little power in a “Sharialess” Muslim country, he would escalate the 5th stage more than the 4th stage. It’s not only him, all the village mullahs like him will come out of their dark and damp holes wielding swords, waving guns, and whatever, and start their bloody “Jihaad” as their friends in ISIS and Taliban do. This is the typical political Islam touted by the two 'syeds', namely, Maududi and Qutb. Stay away from their teachings.

There are several fallacies in this 'impassioned' lecture about the merits and the support of Abu Talib for the Prophet (sws). First, Allah has clearly said that pronouncing Shahadah at the moment of death is NOT acceptable! Firaun did accept Allah’s sovereignty when he was drowning and Allah said “al’aan (now)”? So this hadith or story that the Prophet pleaded with Abu Talib at his deathbed and promised to plead or intercede with Allah is a false story. If Abu Talib did support the Messenger of Allah (sws) so much, then Allah must have already guided him to Islam while still arranging to keep his conversion hidden from the public eye. Why not? Allah allows the Taqayyah under duress, doesn’t He? So I don’t see any problem in believing that Abu Talib died as a Muslim, not as a mushrik - if everything this shaikh is describing about him is true. I don’t care what Bukhari or anyone else says. Bukhari has put out so much crap that it will take pages and pages for me to fill up against him; he has damaged Islam so much already that it will take ages for the Ummah to heal from it - unless the Ummah quits the “Sihah Sittah addition” and reverts back to the Book of Allah where all the Truth lies. Second, this shaikh gives an unbelievably ridiculous reason to defend the “non-acceptance of Islam” of Abu Tablib, emphasizing that Abu Talib HAD TO remain mushrik because, had he converted, Prophet’s mission would have suffered right from the start! In other words, he is saying tht it was Allah’s plan that Abu Talib remain mushrik for the protection of the Prophet (sws)!!! You see the absurdity and the contradiction of this argument when you realize that this very shaikh also tells us that Abu Talib is burning in Hell because of his refusal to pronounce Shahadah. (Even though he says his punishment in hell has been made light compared to others.) This a self-defeating argument. Why would Allah (swt) punish anyone whom he has already PLANNED to remain mushrik??? Allah has told us in no uncertain terms that we get punished for our own doings. My humble suggestion: Please study the Book of Allah with your own intellect Allah has given you because at the end, ONLY YOU are responsible for yourself, not this shaikh or any other like-alike - and there are millions like him misleading their crowds by their fiery tongue.
