best purchase I have made for my Jeep since I drove it off the lot. I was so sick of the peeling chrome on the factory cupholder trim. This product was worth every penny. Install was extremely simple thanks to the video, and I love the new look.
Excellent product. Ordered it as soon as I had finished watching this video. Maybe I will have the first one of these in Norway? Can't wait untill it gets here.
Awesome! Please let me know how it works, I think you would be the first in Norway! Are the jeeps LHD or RHD in Norway? I haven't confirmed the fit for RHD, so if it doesn't work, please let me know - we will make it happen!
@@longevity-products I will make sure to leave a comment on this video once the part is fitted. BTW this video should be the blueprint for all installation videos on YT, brilliant. Jeps in Norway have the wheel on the proper side, aka LHD.
Just ordered! I'm on my second WK2 now (had a 2015 Limited, now I'm in a 2020 Trailhawk) and i remember cutting my hand in the old one, and the chrome is already peeling in my new one. Also, i just hate chrome in general so this is great!
@@longevity-products Yes the glowing piece around the trim is only lit up 1/2 way and it’s dim. I saw on your website yours is super bright lol. I have a 2015
@@ConradFarley my guess is that one of the bulbs is burned out. I’m not exactly sure how to replace those - I would suggest taking out your shift bezel and remove the 4 screws that hold the cup holders to it. With the cup holders out, plug the light back in to the jeep and see what you can find!
@@longevity-products Took every piece of the cup holder apart and turns out this over engineered piece of plastic just had coffee stains on the clear part that the LEDs hit lol. Thanks again
Great video! Ordered mine and just installed it. Looks great. Will you be making any other trim pieces? Would love to replace the chrome gear shifter trim. 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee!
@@WhitneySmith-o7l Awesome! Glad to hear it’s working well for you. We do have plans to make more parts, and the shifter trims are on the list. Lots of people want them to match. The tricky part will be install, they will need to be glued in, since there isn’t a cupholder with screws to hold it in place from the bottom side
@@longevity-products awesome can't wait to see what you come up with! I see that they will have to be glued back in. I took mine off to take the chrome off and paint it and it did not turn out how I wanted. I know it would look good if it matched the cup holder!
Just ran out of them last week, but we have another batch being made, will be available again by July 1! And the best pricing is on our website, if shipping to USA. longevity-products.com/
@fabz325 I just got the website up, and should have inventory loaded by Thursday May 9 at the latest. Limited stock still as we are ramping up production, but will have some for sale! longevity-products.com/products/2011-2021-jeep-grand-cherokee-wk2-cup-holder-chrome-trim-replacement-black
@@Detox5150 I actually had the stl available for a few weeks - but it was immediately abused and someone else started selling prints of it in Etsy - so I don’t have it available anymore, sadly
@longevity-products that's a bummer. I don't have any interest in selling. I'd like to print one in cf abs for personal use only. You might be able to go after the seller for copyright violations.
Thanks for the feedback - you are correct, the filament to make each part is around $5. But there are other costs too - unit costs like packaging, shipping, processing, as well as overhead costs we incurred to design & tool for production. But, your comment has challenged me to look at our price structure now that we have been in business for a few months. We have gained some efficiencies, and I just dropped the sales price by 16%. Thanks for keeping us honest!
