The Camaro does make some concessions for style, but it's not bad enough to keep us from recommending it. The rear window is relatively small, and the tiny rear side windows can make it hard to see what's next to you when you want to change lanes or merge. You should take a test drive and see what you think. It might also be worth looking for a Camaro with backup sensors.

I love these cars. I had an Impala LT with the V6 3.2 engine, I was very impressed with the performance and handling, for 3 months in CA a year back. I would love to have a Camaro! Time to save the pennies up!

@maxgould7071 It's definitely limited. The rear side windows are fairly small and the C-pillar (the metal separating the rear side windows from the back window) is stylishly thick, which makes it especially hard to see when changing lanes. But your best bet is to test drive one and see how it feels to you.

@vboytan Hard to say -- they are very different types of cars. What are you looking for in a vehicle? The Camaro is a modern muscle car. It has rear-wheel drive and a powerful naturally-aspirated engine (even the V6 has over 300 hp). The WRX is more like a rally car. It has all-wheel drive and a turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The WRX has four doors and a fairly usable backseat. The Camaro has two doors and you probably wouldn't want to spend a lot of time back there.

@SaysLucas New innovations like traction and stability control make even rear-wheel drive vehicles like the Camaro perform much better on slippery roads. Switching to snow tires during winter months can also help give you a lot more grip. But if you regularly have to drive on ice and snow, you might want to consider an all-wheel drive vehicle.

@maxgould7071 I got a 2012 Camaro as my first car. It honestly the blind spots aren't really that bad once you get into it. The rear parking sensors and backup camera are also helpful. Maybe its just me, I learned how to drive in a 2002 Toyota Sequoia.

@maxgould7071 Turning off these systems (sometimes referred to as "computer nannies") gives experienced drivers more control, and allows them to push a vehicle closer to its limits in performance driving. But this is really only recommended for very experienced drivers in controlled conditions (like on a dry track). Most of the time these systems help keep the car under control and can react far faster than a person ever could.

@AutoTrader I'm having such a hard time deciding between the two lol One looks super badass while the other drives super badass like. Performance wise IK the wrx will take it no question. But the camaro looks mean and that llt engine is no joke either. Right now im tilting towards the wrx just because I think the camaro has been over used recently. I see it everywhere now a days. I really loved it back when you would only occasionally see one. Made it seem unique, now it seems that way for wrx.

@maxgould7071 Inexperienced drivers are far more likely to get in an accident, so your best bet for a first car might really be a late model used car. That way you won't feel as bad if something happens to it. The Camaro offers good reliability and safety ratings (4-stars for front, 5-star for side and rollover) -- but it also has a lot of power (even in V6 form) and rear-wheel drive. This can make it harder to control than a car with less power and front- or all-wheel drive.

@theKaahk The Mustang is actually better in more than just the skid pad, it was better in the slalom than the camaro and the !/4 mile too. A live axle will usually loose some traction on an even surfaces but the Stang is still much much faster around a closed course, the thing only came a tenth of a second under an M3 in another video. The Camaro is too fat, the IRS doesn't fix that.

Thought this car was awesome when I saw it in transformers. They waited to long to come out with it. The outside is modern but that interior needs work. Good power and handling. But it just isn't a must have. When you look at its cool but doesn't really inspire. Doesn't make me go out buy it.

my gad only RM68,040(22,680 $USD) CHEAAPP, my family can buy 5 types of this car . Too bad the tax in my in country the price it will be too expensive because it is above f**** 1.6L it will be like RM600,000(200,000 $USD)!!!!!! argh i want this car :/

Well the begging wasn't that bad. But when you step into the car with these 2 "reviewers" they come of as extremely superficial fake and overly commercial. It looks like poor acting off of an infomercial. I think the production values are great and your film crew definitely know what they are doing sadly your on screen stars don't. I can tell already that they probably know very little about cars, since the Mustang is actually the better handling car, so your info is not even correct

camaros and mustangs are way overpriced for what you get. There are cars that drive much better, have far more features and use less gas for the same price.
