All that the team is doing is keeping a high level of energy. They are showing their support as a team, instead of just sitting on the sideline acting like they are bored. This positive feedback and sense of camaraderie helps the team to play better as a group. After all, when you do something good and everybody shows that they appreciate it, it makes you feel empowered and makes the game more enjoyable. In ultimate terms, it is the "spirit of the game"!
there's a lot of hate for pitt on this video, but you have to realize that it's only a few players making all the calls. i played against pitt in spring 2012 and they were completely legit. every call was a reasonable one. their athleticism and talent is just tremendous. ease up on the hate a bit
@saw13037 Pitts number 7 was calling most of them as well - every once in a while you run into guys that just call things to try and gain advantage. It is against the spirit of the game but there are people out there that play like that.
@saw13037 many teams will begin with an aggressive gameplan that needs to be checked by the opposing team with foul calls. defenders should not make contact with the thrower although it happens constantly. in a very important game where each throw is heavily contested, the guy with the disc is going to call a lot more fouls on his mark because it's (a) true and (b) advantageous.
Pitt look like a bunch of bad kids. They spike the disc when they score and anytime Colorado has the advantage they feel the need to call an erroneous foul.
Haha, did Pittsburgh seriously call that travel (which looked like he still barely had his pivot foot down to me) on that full huck around 11 mins, than let them score again on literally the exact same play?
yeah, the whole sport of Ultimate relies on people being honest and not taking advantage fo that type of thing. Otherwise, it kind of ruins a competitive game.
pitt makes some of the worst travel calls i've ever seen in this game. they're a talented team, but i cannot have respect for people who abuse the rules like #7 and #2 did.
Wow...Pitt deserved an ass whooping. "Foul called...travel called...foul called...foul called." Give me a break. Pitt is a team full of sore losers and cheap players. Props to Colorado for a tough played game.
is it just me or do these guys not seem very good. aside from the top guys like Zemel of course - lower end regionals level club player with no college ultimate experience
