Yea kind skipped around yet the only reason you took out the center console was too drill holes, correct. The rear cup holder seperates from the center console. That would be the base for the the arm rest so in theory...if you know where to drill and can get to that spot ie a right angle drill. You dont have to mess with all the interior plastic.
Just fitted mine yesterday, was definitely a job that took longer than one hour, but ok to do, apart from the lack of measurement detail, either on this vid or the instructions, about where to drill for the 20mm dia. holes. I managed to work it out by measuring the likely positions required, but a template should have been part of the kit, as well as a 20mm dia saw/arbour, for the price! Happy with finished job now though :))
Sadly honda does it the hard way. you do NOT need to remove all that to install it. the CRZ forums have the far simpler way to install that requires far less disassembly.
None of us should have to install an armrest in our Honda CRZ because it should have already been installed from the stinken factory! Rediculous how an armrest is an aftermarket part in the CRZ.
If you could just pry up the cupholder, why not make an attachable armrest that clips on like the cupholder? 😂 i need to buy a 3d printer or something.
