2011 Dodge Ram 3500 6.7L Diesel Front Axle U-Joint Replacement 

I’ve done a lot of these to I don’t use a extension and socket anymore. It ruined them. I started using a large punch. Sometimes you have to sacrifice your tools to get the job done though the sockets do work really well. Plan on replacing your extension when you get done if you do it the way he’s doing it I’ve been doing this long time sometimes you better off just to get the torch out and cut them out. If you’re good with the torch, you can get it out in five minutes without all that hammering and beating cut them up it’s quicker after cleaning the caps you should put just a little bit of never seize compound on each side. That way they will come out easy you won’t get near the rust. If you ever have to take them out again after universal is installed make sure it’s not bound up if it is, you can take your hammer and hit those collars that go around the caps that we’ll loosen them up be sure to feel it if it’s bound up, you will get vibration and it will take the universal out
