Spent thousands trying to fix this issue. The dealership had no clue and tried to charge me 4k to replace all the computer system+ keys, After watching this video, realized I had a fast charger in the 12 volt. After disconnecting it , everything worked perfectly. Thanks for the info.

I had this issue yesterday on my 2014 ford explorer. Starting System Fault, I opened my key and it had a little bit of moisture inside. So I took the battery out of the key, dry it with a blow dryer for 5 minutes. And left it to dry overnight. The next day I put back the key battery, and put the housing back. I put the key in the ignition and started right up.

Thank you! My situation is . . . I have one key fob doesn't work. one that does as far as inserting and turning key and starting engine. The key fob that doesn't turn the key to start(no sound or turn over) will actually still unlock the car. The other key fob when inserted will turn and start car but will not will not lock car, only start car. My ford dealer replaced both key fob batteries with not changes. I have a 2011 ford edge, do you think ordering a new key fob system will help? yes i know a new car will help all my issues, but i have 100,00 miles on my car and im trying not to spend a whole car's worth to fix this? the fear is not having the spare to start my car if needed! thanks for any help?

Jeeze , can you actually tell some info , is it a push button start , or key? …duhhhh if it’s a push button , and the dash says “no key detected” there is a little place in the console you insert the key fob to override the system if your key fob is dead , open the lid , it’s inside the front of the console about half way down , the fob fits in there , it will start if nothing else is wrong , stupid thing is “ the owners manual says NOTHING about it” had to google it 🙄😞🤷🏼‍♀️ not one of fords better ideas
