Truck had the brake and ABS lights on the dash. Almost all modules had the code:
U0121 - Lost communication with ABS module.
Sure enough, could not communicate with the ABS module. All other modules are working just fine. I always start off with looking at wiring diagrams. First I'll look at the Information Bus diagram to determine the type of network. Particularly I'm looking to see if the module in question has a direct connection to the DLC or if it relies on another module to pass its messages along. In this case it's a direct bus so I don't have to worry about any other gateway modules.
Next I go after the ABS wiring diagram and check powers and grounds. Interesting conclusion to this one!

Great video but test light, power probe, banana plugs...how is everything connected? I can't even see the battery. If you could go a little slower with your discription with better visuals of the testing confiq. A quick snapshot of a diagram would be amazings otherwise I'm died in the water at Go!

I do have a question though. My husband took an ABS Module off one truck which was working and put it on another truckwhich had the abs and brake light on along with service brake system on dash. It did make the ABS , Brake Light go away but then when he went to put the ABS module back on the original truck it gives the orginal truck a u0121-00 code which means it is not communicating. I am thinking now that we need to have the module flashed. Do you think that I am on the right track on that?

@Nope Not Today Nope Not Today When you removed the module from the original truck and installed it onto the truck with the faulty ABS module did you have it flashed? If so then, yes, you would have to reflash it back to the original truck. Otherwise I would make sure you didn't accidentally install the bad ABS module. I know it sounds silly but it can be super easy to do!

@@eurbanautotech Thank you and we marked the bad ABS to with a paint marker to keep them seperate. So you did confirm that we needed to have it flashed back to the orginal truck. Your awsome for getting back with me so quick.

@Nope Not Today Nope Not Today Haha, I've definitely had a couple, "Oh, crap. Which one was the bad one.." moments. I'm in a small shop so there's always constant distractions and interruptions... I'm always happy to help any way I can! I read all the comments and try to respond as much as I can.
