You guys are awesome! I really enjoyed this video. I just bought an 01' Ranger 4 X 4. It had a LOT of issues the previous owner failed to disclose. It set us back $800 to replace the 4WD Modules, & reprogram the computer. My Ranger is getting a rough start with me, but so far into it now, I'm going to finish fixing everything & drive it for the next 5 years.
I’m tellin ya man people talk crap on the little Ford rangers but what they don’t realize is the lighter the truck the better it is off road… because when you have those big heavy trucks you get stuck way easier
Rangers wont get stuck, I had one, while all these super duties, rams, and Silverados where getting stuck in the beach, I would pull all of them out and go over the same tracks they did with no problems...they are just so light.
I bought a brand new Ram in 2017. It was dually, HO, Aisin, 4.10 and 4x4. I got stuck on the side of the interstate on the wet grass. Several people tried to drive it out as they thought I didn't know what to do and eventually another Ram pulled me out from the shoulder. Heavy trucks sucks.
@@jasonlyle3818 Then you’ll need to start saving up for a new transmission and maybe a new engine! He would still be worth the money over a Jeep! I’d rather buy something cheap and replace the main parts like the transmission and engine! Maybe even the shocks and then you pretty much have a new automobile!
I just bought a 2011 Ford Ranger XLT 4X4 4.0 engine with Carfax proof of only 2,725 miles from a pre-owned car dealer in Martinsburg West Virginia. The truck looks and smells brand new. It was stored in a temperature controlled warehouse and has never even seen rain!
Chuck man you lucky. Lol. Ive had my eye on a 2011 here in the south now for over a week. High high miles. 160k. Man I want it cause I've been without now for awhile. My 99 finally bit the dust. What would you pay for it ? It has a camper shell and some kind of made up rack in the bed which makes me think it was probably used as a work truck.
I wana get a ranger 4x4 now and build it with my daughter. So when she is old enough to drive, its hers. I have a 2wheel drive F150 she used to love, and my 90 bronco that she realy like but want to give her smtn small enough but functional. Like if she want to go to the beach, gettn into horses now so even small loads if she wants
That 4.0 sohc motor has to be removed from the vehicle to change the timing chain on the passenger side of the vehicle because the timing chain is on the rear of the engine. What a terrible design.
