It’s his own damn fault. He’s the coach, not the media. If he is so pissed off, get your f ing team ready to play the damn game. Obviously, he didn’t do his job that week.
@@speakingtruths4215 The thing about the option is, it's hard to get ready for in one week because it's so alien these days. Option teams are usually garbage in bowl games because the other team always has 2-3 weeks to prepare. It's why Saban won't schedule them anymore
@@jakemasters2674 I know I’m late to the conversation but I keep seeing the term “triple option” in the comments section - what exactly does that mean? It seems like an advanced and complex offensive maneuver - so why do teams in the SEC not run it?
I'm here because of the interview. I remember this game ,I was at work ( I was working for myself) so I had to listen to it on the radio and I couldn't believe how well Georgia Southern was playing.
That's Johnathan Bryant, didn't end up playing professional football. I did a little bit of looking up and it looks like he works for State Farm now as a salesman lol
It’s crazy to watch how versatile Jet McKinnon was in college. Dude is an extremely explosive player and I am so glad he has been a Chief these past few years
In high school we played a shitty team that ran that same offense we had a much better record but that damn offense wears you out it’s frustrating. They kept running that little dive play we were pissed
GSU ran one of the most precise and toughest offenses I've ever seen Alabama play. We've see a few triple option offenses over the years, but NO ONE did it better than GSU in 2011.
@@richardbryant3620 GA/GSU fan... look at Bama now... One of best CFB teams of all time (barring 2019 LSU), absolute shame COVID put an asterisk on that offense/defense this year. One of the best Bama teams in past decade who couldn't celebrate with fans. Either way, Go Dawgs, Hail Southern.
Everyone on the Alabama team played in the NFL later, multiple Georgia Southern players made rosters or practice rosters in the NFL. Alabama was ranked #3, at the time Southern was ranked #3 in FCS.
I have no idea what Lord Saban meant by "shit through a tin horn" on paper. But after watching this game, i think i kinda know, even though i still dont TECHNICALLY know what the fuck he meant lol.
Ever since GS went to FBS they became soft... they don’t run the option under center looking tough and hard nosed anymore. It was a big mistake releasing Monkin and Fritz. Even bigger mistake when we hired Tyson Summers.
G S should be given credit. This isnt a scrub team that caught Bama off guard. These guys are tough. 95 yard kick off return against the mighty Tide. Yup thats shit thru a tin horn alright. Remember this game!!
I'm old enough to remember the Tide offenses under the Bear. GA Southern's is run like that. They line up about 2 feet behind the center and explode off the snap with enough momentum to smash and chop. I mean I saw Bama DLs getting blown down! Eagles just didn't have the raw talent against today's Bama.
Alabama had to keep their starters in the whole game. Georgia Southern lost 35-7 to North Dakota State in the FCS playoffs. Iowa State would have beat Alabama by six TD's.
