Had the exact same model with exact same engine size. It was absolutely stunning and very reliable. Now I have 2012 w166 model with 3.5 and it is an absolute stunner 👌🏼 plus a different beast altogether
What are the common problems with the used 2011? Wiring harness? head gasket? At what miles does the timing chain need replacement? What's the cost of the navigation update software ? $400 or $100 ?

Good review! I currently have 3 of these suv's. Going forward you probably shouldn't compare a Mercedes to a Lexus since Mercedes started the entire Luxury SUV style with the ML 320. Keep up the good reviews!
I have the same vehicle with tow package and leather with 62k miles on it. You get heated and auto telescoping steering on these. Just need to check in settings to set the steering function to let you out of the vehicle and close you in when you close the door. I use it for food shopping and family visiting. So the interior is not as bad as this one. No problem merging on the highway with these. The power will surprise you if you need it. The only thing I don't like is that the floor mats are an ugly color.
Terrible. You need a dongle in the glove box to create a 2nd BT connection and it fights with the phone BT connection. It is the weak spot in this vehicle but BT phone performance is strong, not streaming.
I never seen a Mercedes with such a nasty light switch in my life. What did the owner use? A Dremel? Terpentin? - And no. Mercedes didn’t start the luxury SUV class. BMW X5 was the 1st luxury SUV. All other manufacturers pulled out after BMW.
Mercedes is expensive brand you have to pay a lot more for maintenance and even I was told suspension is expensive, though 3.5 engine is reliable and a good choice it' still an old mercedes and those of us who had old Mercedes know what I am talking about.
I have no idea what you’re talking about! I had exact same model with higher mileage it was bulletproof! Now I have 2012 w166 and that also is a very reliable suv
