I have a 2004 Toyota Tacoma TRD off road with a TRD supercharger and cold air intake, and it runs like a fucking beast. Tacos all the way!

Old school fuel enrichment idea there. Rarely seen these days with better fuel control from factory pcms. I actually used three "extra injectors" on my stripped and primered Shelby Turbo Dodges back in the mid 90s when I was street racing. I used adjustable oil pressure switches for Chevys to turn on the injectors to "richen" the mixture so I didn't melt the pistons. Cheers.

I've owned Toyota trucks all my life. I always wanted to either supercharge them or turboed. I know Toyota TRD designed a supercharger for them for a couple of years and offered them as an upgrade option

Ozzy is way ahead of his time...if I worked for Toyota and I was high enough up I would pay Ozzy for his idea and start production immediately.. I would tell the engineers to make it direct injected also..

I own a Tacoma like this. I never really knew what I wanted to do with it. Either lift it and put on some bigger tires, or to drop it and install a turbo. I think this is what I'm gonna do!

I love this truck, moreso than even my Xrunner. I have a final yr run XRunner and love it. Love the move to the Xrunner rims and more importantly the xbrace. The xbrace gave me the nod that you were pretty serious about mods. When I heard the mileage I was floored. I keep my truck clean but not this clean. I need to get cracking. I've got 60K KM on mine and it's clean, but not this clean. All day tomorrow is on the truck. Thanks for this vid and I agree with the other posters re loving oddball rare builds like this.

The turbo dodge guys used to do the 5th injector on a hobbs switch thing. Think a used saab or Volvo injector was used

I have a 2011 Tacoma with 30k miles on it 4x4... It has the factory 3 inch lift. Would this be a mistake to install? Would it ruin my engines reliability?

I love the truck, but as far as the reviewer....do you always shuffle steer like that? Scary steering, If the rear let loose, I have zero confidence that you'd know where the wheels are pointing. Look up the truth about cars article titled "Just Say No… To Shuffle Steering". Jack Baruth does an excellent job of explaining why it's so bad.

Looks like Ozzy might've preempted Toyota's design team to convert the whole Tacoma fleet to a 2.7L turbo setup ... talk about a strange happenstance that this guy makes a super clean 4-cyl into a nicely tuned turbo setup, then having Toyota convert their entire lineup to this setup. This setup makes me want to get one of these, but the 4WD version and do the same thing. What are the fuel economy figures under normal driving conditions? As in, what's Ozzy's gas mileage?

Now imagine if it was a 4.0 🤔

Just because its supercharged doesn't mean it's fast. This kit is rated at 248hp and 233tq. I'll pass. Should have just bought a Tacoma with a v6 in it.
