@@user-pd9vm9ts1o yes and no, the supercharger is a good fit, however that specific bracket is for the 2TR. gotta make a custom bracket and/or tensioner/ilder

G, they make a supercharger specifically for the 2/3rz. And it's a real supercharger not half a turbo with a gearbox.

@@camyota the magnuson positive displacement supercharger makes less horsepower per psi than a comparable centrifugal supercharger. plus with the centrifugal you can use the stock intake manifold which is a better design than the magnuson (incorporated into supercharger) or you can build a front facing intake manifold like 2jz's, RB's, S54 etc. And it allows you to use a big ass intercooler which you could never use with a positive displacement supercharger. only advantage of the positive displacement supercharger is how much torque you make down low.

Actually super easy, just get a 2.3 out of the turbo svo mustang merkur xr4ti or thunderbird turbocoupe internals are forged compared to the regular 2.3 in the ranger, should be relatively bolt in and even with the turbo provided its watercooled and you let it cool down for 2-5 min before shutting off will be very reliable, I had a 1988 thunderbird turbocoupe with that engine and turbo was the original ihi turbo and I drove that for 2 years always abusing it, got 30mpg highway lugging around 3900 lbs (car weight plus driver and some stuff in the trunk) and around 20-25 city mpg...a few people have done an m90 supercharger by just making a plate to bolt it on the lower intake manifold flange or by putting on the exhaust side to run the intake piping for an air/air intercooler to maintain factory intake manifold set up

All motors burn oil if you abuse them. I have 3 different Toyota motors currently (1zz, 1nz, 2tr) and no oil burning.

Eric Smithers Wow, So much hate. I personally like to see a vehicle someone has tastefully modified to their own taste. Then to see something with 200+k miles that is actually driven daily is the impressive part.

Looks like the owner added the x-brace used on the X-Runner. Also, the factory supercharger was an option, and not all X-Runners come factory with one. I know mines didn't. My personal opinion, this guy has a nice setup.
