At that time I was holding my phone and by myself. I needed both hands and didn't have any way at that point to attach the phone. I tried to put it down a couple of times but it wasn't working and my arms took up most of the view. A lot has changed since then.
Hi, I did what you did but somehow I get the cornering light error. Does anyone here know, should I do some sort of calibration after this? My steering wheel was turned to the right so I had easy access to the bolts under the wheel arch.
@@ntgm20 it was working for two months.. And it is going to a mechanic next month for a che3up. I cleaned the contacts and it worked some time. Now it is not. Cornering lights are working, auto long beam short beam is not.
@@carlosorff Thanks for your feedback. I have the North American version, so don't have auto long/short (hi/low here). Hope it gets all cleared up for you.
I can't say what OEM is based on my vehicle. What I put in was a 4200k and it matched the one I did not replace pretty well. I feel that is a pretty good match up for my vision and these projectors.
Yes, all the screws I mention in the video do have to come out. There are still four screws or bolts down below that are still holding it on, so this really only loosens the bumper.
@@sylee2113 It took me a couple of tries to get it right but no, it wasn't that difficult. It might would have been smoother with a second person, but as it is still connected at the base it is still manageable by one's self.
I think I've had a headstart by all the repairs I've done on previous VWs. The Touareg is definitely different though, and high MX cost is what I'm most concerned about.
