💥Smash the SUBSCRIBE button and the NOTIFICATION 🔔 The bike in the video is a 2011 Yamaha V-Star Stryker. Powerhouse of a bike! Thanks to all my subscribers out there! Stay tuned tons of content coming !
I have a 2011 I bought new in 2012. I did cobra in tune auto tuner, cobra power intake, Vance and Hines 2 into 2 big radius exhaust, and lowering links. Really opened up the bike and the pipes really cut down close calls in traffic by 90%. My experience :)
I have an ‘08 Raider S and you’re right, they’re absolutely nuts 🤣 I also have an ‘07 V Star 650 and it’s night and day between the two. Gonna buy either a Stryker or a Fury next year, too.
I owned a 05 honda vtx 1300 C for 6 years. Loved the bike. I hit a deer a total it. Lucky for me I had my helmet. With 2 broken bones and road rash. But I'm thinking this will be my next bike a 2015 or 2016 stryker
weird. I had a 2013 Stryker and totalled it by hitting a deer too! Appears there is some kinda Deer Insurgency going on😂. I currently ride a 2017 Africa Twin. It's a nice bike, but I miss my Stryker
LOL ok.. thanks for the set up about the black top. also the leaf blower, best keep that turned down soes ya don't peel peel up any of that down under the leaves.
This is the EXACT color I looked at yesterday and I fell in love with it. The ONLY thing that prevented me from buying it was I haven't ridden in 20 years and I have arthritis in my left knee, so the thought of stop lights makes me nervous because can I hold it up ? It felt REALLY well balanced and low seat which I loved. I MAY go buy it after all. The salesman rides a V-Star, so he's biased, of course and said me coming from sport bikes will like the 1300 torque.
Thanks for watching and subscribe! Might wanna get something lighter if your legs are weak for holding it up. It definitely isn’t a light bike, maybe something like a Suzuki M50 might be better for you! I also have a honda grom and i love it!
So I’m in the same boat. Only I bought it. Hadn’t ridden in 29 years but absolutely fell in love with the Stryker. Not a huge fan of red but I love it on the Stryker. Anyway. I’d say go for it. I find it very easy to control and balance. I took it only around the neighborhood for awhile. It’s a bit tricky to learn to turn it but once you figure it out you’ll be soooooo happy you went for it. I know I wouldn’t have been happy with a smaller bike
@@aaronruger2574 Hello Aaron, I ended up buying the Stryker and I've owned it for half a year so far, and ca,'t wait 'til Spring of 2024, which is only two months away. I am so glad I ended up buying the Stryker. Thanks again, Aaron - Mike
That’s so crazy I used to live in floyd but now I’m in Las Vegas! I noticed once you went past the diner haha! I’m thinking of getting a Stryker as my first bike but I don’t know what I’m looking for when I find one do you have any tips?
Thanks for watching and subscribe! Also search on my channel i have more videos riding around in Floyd! The stryker is a great bike, id say just make sure it runs good and that the condition is nice on it, otherwise they’re pretty reliable bikes nothing specific to look for!
I have a 2011 Stryker also, just a few suggestions if I may. The throttle cut off is real on/off choppy, to smooth it out you need a fuel controller or Ivans Flash. Either the flash or the fuel controller combined with Cobra exhaust and opening up the air box will really wake the bike up. When you change the oil I found that Rotella T6 5-40 helped smooth out the shifts and seemed to reduce the 1st gear clunk down shift.
Thanks for watching and subscribe! I use the insta360 one x2 for the camera facing me (its a 360 camera) and a gopro hero 6 black facing the road ahead. I use a software called filmora9 on my laptop to switch between the cameras
I'm looking for one as my next bike. I've owned two vrods , a fatbob special 114 , and just sold my 2020 rocket 3 that triumph makes. I don't need another 150 hp bike and think that the Stryker would be perfect. My bike right now is a 97 Honda magna that I really have a lot of fun with. Will regret selling it but time for a Stryker . What's a good price on a 2012 . Anyone know
Thanks for watching and subscribe! You know i have a Suzuki m50 as well (800cc) and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with a smaller bike. Doesn’t feel underpowered at all, quite snappy actually
Thanks for watching and subscribe! Im 6’3 and 240 lbs, i was fine on it. I actually liked that bike alot. I think its more of a issue if you’re too small for the bike rather than too big
Thanks for watching and subscribe! I sold this bike and bought a 2008 Honda VTX1300C (with vance and hines exhaust) And its truely a monster. Check it out on my channel
Thanks for watching and subscribe! Honestly its kinda heavy and doesn’t handle as good as something like a honda shadow 750, so id rather recommend that instead for a new rider… but in terms of power and overall presence of the bike the Stryker is on another level. Check out the first ride video i made with the shadow 750 too!
Probably not the best for a 1st. The front rake is very deep. Take some getting used to for slow maneuvering and slow turns. Once you get confident and used to it, you can get her to move however you want. Takes a minute. Might be challenging for new riders. Power band is manageable, not twitchy or too aggressive, but I use the clutch and friction zone like 2nd nature.
Thanks for watching and subscribe, technically you could get it as a first bike but its not ideal. Its a bit too big for a first bike if you’re under 200lbs. Id learn on something like a Suzuki m50 (i have one of those too!)
