It's amazing how good that 6 cyl supercharged engine really is - the power and torque come on instantaneously to move this car that weighs over 4k lbs when you hit the accelerator and boy does the car move - simply amazing -
My Favorite Audi the 2012 A7 Sportback 3. OT. The time is coming When you Hear me Coming. Turn heads & stay Focused on What I'm After. Brian Cooley Is 1 of the Best when It comes Down 2 Reviewing & Showing the good & bad With tech these days.
I love this car. I also hate overpowered cars. We americans tend to over buy everything. We always think that more is better, but that is not always the case
many things are both purple and orange, including fruit, and combing adjectives for a more apt description of characteristics is quite accepted. just because something is purple, does not mean it cannot also be orange. just bc the a7 has four doors does not mean it cannot feel coupe-esque
The handling is like on a sportscar, at least in the european spec. I've heard rumours of the americans ruining suspension, steering, making it more yuckky american fullsizer-like. That's a crime if it's true, but I know it has happened with other cars before! Mine runs like on rails with the original 20 inch rims, adjustable suspension, electronic/manual Bugatti style wing. And infrared display on windscreen at night is smart, so is the reminders of speedlimits. Best car I've had ever! : )
@holandpark yeah its like 6x more expensive but you are gettin what u paid for and its a beast of a machine fyi its like starts from 80 grand in us so not that expensive than this
there are so many fanboys and people who talk about things when they dont know what they are talking about, but instead of trying to correct people who wont listen im just gonna say that audi is like hyundai in the fact that they have come a long way from the audi's we remember that were so unreliable and just seemed like rebranded VWs. the company has new leadership and they are taking it in a direction that is reliable and makes sense. i love the new A7 but like the upcoming RS7 better ;)
Only thing I really don't like about Audi's is the car configuration setup. If I'm driving around in say the new RS7 and I come across a neat stretch of road or an on ramp, I don't want to have to use the rings of Saturn and click around to make the car come alive. It should be like BMW. You preset what you want and then have the mode(s) to switch through at the push of an easily accessible button on the steering wheel.
@pedro125252 You seem to be misinformed again - Audi is part of the Volkswagon Group; Besides owning Audi, the VW group also owns Bentley, Bugatti, and Lamborghini, and Porsche. Quite a bit of engines and component parts are shared to increase efficiencies in scale with each group retaining autonomy. If it wasn't for the VW group's deep cash pockets, the likes of the Veyron, Bentley Continental, and Lamborghini's Aventador would never have been created
@weih723 Yes, but honestly with Audi, it would produce the same amount probably if not less torques than the 3.0T (supercharged). Plus your mpg would be much worse than this.
@pedro125252 You wouldn't save 30K... This car is about $70K like this (according to Audi's build your own site). That's only 5K more than an Equus Ultimate.
if the ECU was designed correctly, premium would be just fine. and like guitarist1990 said, these cars are not meant for reliablity after 60-70k milage. even if it had 30k and was 7 years old, expect the same problems of a 60-70k milage. i knew a guy who had an 04 A4 with something in the 90,000 mile range. and oneday the transmission decided not to shift into gear anymore. sadly just a week before he traded his Civic for it because he thought luxury cars were reliable...
Ice show "Twizzle" opened to the public the new AUDI A7 Sportback. Presentation of the new AUDI A7 Sportback was held in Chelyabinsk in the cabin Audi Centre Chelyabinsk. The evening of March 8, a worldwide day of spring, and lovely ladies, South Ural beau monde have demonstrated a five-door luxury coupe. Birth of the car Honourable audience saw almost live: in the darkness, the sound of techno in sparkling silver outfits have four shows on the skater ice "TWIZZLE”
What? The market this car is directed toward doesn't care much about longevity, especially past 60-70k miles. The supercharger will not give out for a long time. And who says 91 or 93 octane gas won't work? Tons and tons of these cars have been on the road since 2011, and I haven't heard much about issues with running the specified gas. I have been driving an Audi 2.0T FSI with a tiny little K03 turbo which has a compression ratio of 10.5:1. It has 126000 miles and the engine and turbo are fine
I love the exterior design, It's just stunning, but the interior isn't all that special to me. As a Mercedes driver, I expected more, I guess it's just not my cup of tea. The CLS isn't exactly a "better" car, but I find it to be more elegant and much more of a Pedigree than Audi does.
+jrarael90 I know, I've been waiting 4 years for this damn car to drop to the 30's. Finally getting mine next week. Never even drove one before, don't need to when a car is that sexy.
Gc_03 I got the prestige with all options. Sold it last month and getting a Cadillac ELR. I loved it but didn't like the $4,000 a year for maintenance.
Deluded? Not sure what you mean. Anyway, I don't take seriously comments from someone named Yoshi who probably plays Mario World and lives in his parents basement.
Deluded in the sense that you call yourself a San Francisco neurosurgeon and you declare yourself to be a "Mercedes S-class guy" while on youtube in the middle of the day. :/ And my post was not advice, it was a statement.
I'm beginning to think you have a case of envy or something. Perhaps you are annoyed at the fact that someone studied hard, worked hard, lives the American Dream and has something to show for on the driveway and the bank. I'll give you some advice if you ever want to move out of your parent's basement. Stop watching RU-vid videos and surfing the web. I paid my dues so I can watch RU-vid all I want. Go out there and try things. Going to school and getting a degree is not enough to get anywhere. If you're moping around because you applied for hundreds of jobs online and have no response then you've gotta look in the mirror. I'm pretty certain you have no clue what the work environment today is like based on your comments. We live in a hypercompetitive global society and work can occurs anywhere in the world there's an internet connection. You have international peers that are more driven and hungry than you. So think about that and maybe next time you write to me a nice thank you and tell me you got your first job out of school. Good luck to you.
sfneurosurgeon Personally I just don't believe you that you're a neurosurgeon in SF with an S-class. I think it's far more likely that you are a deluded pre-med student with a youtube alter ego. On your unsolicited advice on the "hyper-competitive global society" I will only say that a high-tech society will put higher premiums on social skills (or so I've read). And a barrage of insults thinly veiled as advice isn't going to endear you to anyone.
AUDI definitely has potential but they need to be careful with their turbo reliability. Audi doesn't take into account what the different grades of gasoline does to the engine...It's very highly compressed engine, premium won't work.
@jguth66 Well when I said affordable I meant the A4. Never said the Equus was better than the A8 because I know is not. The point I want to make is that not any Audi is better than any Hyundai, and a clear example is that THE AUDI A4 is a cheap crap next to a Hyundai Equus. Hurst? welcome to reality...
