The bmw f10 is definitely my favorite bmw ever, the G30 is a bit refined or let’s say has modernised interior but the exterior of the f10 is more BMW than the g30. But at the end, my comment is subjective of course 🙂
Bought one in Germany with around 94k km on odometer, but manual one (which is even better for me) for 14.200 euro. Year of manufacturing is 2013. There was around 1k euro import fee when I was registering it in my country, but still a lot cheaper than in Philippines. I feel like you guys are getting ripped-off here.
Nice review. How would you compare the sound isolation regarding BMW's N47 engine in comparison to Mercedes W212 l4 diesels? Is the N47 too rattly in an F10? Noticeable vibrations? Thanks!
Cool review! Would you say they are reliable/not too expensive in repairs? I know about the timing chain issues(Which even seems to be less common on F10 generation though) but is there any other big flaw you know of the engine? Except for timing chain I've heard it's supposed to be reliable. It's a beautiful car!
They are quite reliable just make sure you’re battery is always in tip too shape. The car tends to throw a crazy amount of fault codes and goes into auto parking brake engagements and/or limp mode the very moment the battery goes weak. For the engine, I also only know of the timing chain issue
@@KyleLiongCars Thats good to hear! Obviously I excpect higher maintenance costs on a german car but I just don't want like 5000 dollar repairs. I heard the timing chain is better on the updated N47T from 2012 but eitherway if i buy a high milage used one I'll prob change it to a new for peace of mind. Have also heard some problems with egr but people said BMW recalled all faulty ones
Not quite sure about prices over there in your country because some things are quite labor-intensive such as the timing chain issue. No problem for us here since labor is really cheap. Best also try to DIY haha! Just be careful not to destroy it yourself 😂😂
@@KyleLiongCars Haha yeah, I don't know much about cars so i won't even do oil changes myself hahaha! The cost of replacing a timing chain here in Sweden isn't too expensive in my opinion(Atleats not for a BMW) what would consider unacceptable is if i have to spend over half the cars prize on a repair. But thats probably extremly rare or even non-existent
Good mpg plus at least here in the Philippines, diesel’s around 10-12 Pesos or 0.21USD per Liters cheaper than gasoline making them a prime choice. It’s the opposite in the US though right?
Hi Kyle...watching your review in 2022 Nov. Well analysed...my request is ...could you use US Dollar amounts alongside Phillipino peso in other reviews so international viewers can get an approximate currency value to compare. Thank you, +1 sub and like on the way out.
I didn’t have it programmed na as it’s not really worth it. A single programming costs around 2500, and the programming is primarily to make your car electronics know when to charge and discharge your battery to prolong the battery’s lifespan. By prolong, it means probably extending the battery life by 1.5x longer at most. Given that I was able to buy the DIN 100 for just 6800 Pesos, the 1.5x longer life it will provide for a cost of 2500 Pesos is just not worth it. Every single electronic function works perfectly without the programming. Should you want to use a casa bough BMW AGM Battery that can last around 10 years, but will cost around 26-30K Pesos, that’s the only time I consider programming to be worth it. Hope this help :)
@@KyleLiongCars BIG help thank you so much! Can I just ask also if there were any fault codes or warnings when you changed the battery despite it working perfectly electronics wise?
