I've owned a lot of Corvettes. The C-6 was shorter but had a longer wheelbase than the C-5. Add the wider body found in the Grandsport makes it my favorite Corvette. Plus it's reliable and easy to work on and old enough that it's probably going to go up in value. Great weekender.
The automatic versions are not dry sump and the battery is under the hood, on the manual models the dry sump oil tank is under the hood where the battery belongs and the battery is relocated to the trunk
Corvette has had the best looking for all-American sports cars. The 1964 corvette stingray is a looker, a personal favorite, I hope they start converting them to EV for future's sake. Compliments of the season.
Dumb question... but did both 2013 AND 2012 models come with the "60" badging? I know 2012 had that all black, red rims centennial edittion. And 2013 had the white GS and Z06 with silver stripes. Wondering if both '12 and '13 shared that logo.
Great review! Someone in my neighborhood is selling his and offered it to me. Only issue is it has 180k miles... Not sure if I should pull the trigger or not
Nice review but this must be a 2013 model year since the 60th anniversary edition was in year 2013 Also 0-60 is about 4 seconds (you said 0-100). You’re correct Those seats were changed and improved for the 2012 model year. They’re not necessarily from the Z06, those were standard in GS. The V8 sound is coming from that Borla exhaust which is an aftermarket system. Also this has a K&N aftermarket air intake which you didn’t mention
that's a 2013 Vette. 60th year. my bad, somebody just swapped out the badge. wonder what else was done. wow that car was hacked up. it's a 1lt interior but someone put faux leather on the dash.
8 owners. Ok now before you freak out, every dealer who “owned” this car is listed as an “owner” on the CARFAX report. So it might be half that amount. Check out that CarFax carefully and check out the car carefully before making judgement. Price is a bit steep for one with 60,000 miles. RUN AWAY if its an automatic!!!
Get the manual one, ls3 with t56 gearbox man seats will really hug you while going 0-100. Driving an auto makes you look like a warvet driving a vette lol
@@KyleLiongCars well they should if they're talkin about an American made car. Gallons, inches, SAE tools. You know, American made stuff. At least State both measurements like miles per hour kilometers per hour so there's no confusion, good clear communication.
@@johngraham212 Not really? I think it's pretty safe to say it's Metric unless otherwise stated..... Literally 90-95% of the world uses Metric. American cars are also exported too so like it's already a given that they will reach elsewhere :D
@@KyleLiongCars Yup, you are 100% correct 90-95% of the world uses Metric and I would use the correct terms for those country's when describing. Just say the car goes 0 to 100 Kilometers and hour in 4 seconds. Cheers,
Buying this car with a slushbox is like taking a bath w/o the water. Why bother? You are neutering the car and removing all the fun. I’m being dead serious when I say take a pass on this Vette if you don’t get the wonderful 6 speed manual transmission. It’s got a very nice throw straight from the factory. The ratios are nicely spaced. The clutch is surprisingly light and the car is a hoot to drive. I have this exact color C6 in convertible form with a 6 speed manual transmission…of course. I have never driven the automatic and don’t need to. Now if it came with a nice dual clutch automatic then I might be curious to try that, but it doesn’t. Just a slow shifting torque converter box that is for folks who should be in a Buick or a Lexus sedan just cruising down the road. Nothing wrong with that at all.
