Thank you for the info. After many parts changed at the dealer and before I saw your video, this fixed the misfire I had on my 2010 tahoe 5.3.Thanks again
Fyi, the clip they sell as a replacement to hold the map sensor in place, doesnt fit on my 2007 tahoe, but I did find a company online that makes them, I think by 3d printer.
@@punkbutler88 did it work for you? How did you fix your rruck? Im also getting misfire cylinder 6, but no lifter tick, so i dont think is as serious as a lifter like other videos.
Cylinder 1 is a afm lifter. Possibly a collapsed lifter?? Just a heads up. Just Google failed afm lifter 5.3 and symptoms and diagnosis will be there. Good luck
@@StitchDGlitch I would've thought a specific plug or cylinder would've thrown that specific code? I'm playing with a p0300 and p0175 and p0174 right now.
@@StitchDGlitch if you don't mind me asking? What were your symptoms? Issues? I have new plugs. Am gonna replace the wires today. And possible the mass airflow. I get the random p0300 that comes and goes.
@@ojflores3554 check caytalitic converter on side misfire is there. I had random misfire code p0300 and on drivers side all 4 cylinders and hooked to my scanner and it was showing all firing misfiring bad it was the converter on that side and ended up blowing exhaust gasket to , replaced cat and manifold + gasket good to go
I changed it yesterday. And still have same problem.. I already replaced knock sensors, and intake manifold gasket, exhaust manifold gasket, spark plugs, and wires! And no check engine light!! I have a 2011...
Dang...I was hoping it would work for me! Unfortunately it still runs rough and throwing P0300 code. At least it is a cheap easy fix if it works. Anybody have any other ideas?
Mine is... I was hoping it's not the exhaust valve because it does blow blue smoke at start up.. then goes away, I parked my truck and the next day it will not stay running unless my foot is on the gas , and it sounds so rough like a huge bag of cans rattle
MAss airflow Sensor, unplug it with vehicle running, if it keeps running then its the Mass airflow Sensor. If it turns off once you unplug it it’s not the air flow sensor.
Im getting a random missfire code p1516 also causes my throttle position sensor to malfunction. I already changed the whole throttle body with sensor and still cant figure it out. Might try this next. Its causeing the throttle to open and shut sometimes
@@andrew0370 sorry for the late reply but it was the throttle body and the ecm computer to the engine you can get one programmed to your truck on eBay. They work together after I changed both it started working
