Intensive care is team effort! This nominal jargon is irrelevant. The team leaders and decision makers, as well as executers of those decisions are important at various levels of intensive care. This is a good video reflecting how family input is important in intensive care therapy as part of overall out come of the patient. Lets not drag nominal jargon in to this shall we? .
Intensive care units exist to provide intensive nursing care, yet the word nurse is never mentioned in this video. "Physician," "care," and "staff" are said, but never "nurse." Nurses must not be made invisible. Nursing is why hospitals exist.
